Noticed the same thing before. I think they choose the ranking that looks best to them out of the four recruiting services and run with it. If player "X" is a 2*, 2*, 4*, 2* then they list him as a 4*. They think sugarcoating rankings makes them win games. Then you start to hear the moaning and bitching about players that are underachieving and why they aren't "stepping it up" or being "coached up". They talk so much $#!T about our recruiting classes every year, but it's funny how we scout talent so much better than recruiting services it seems like. We turn 2 and 3 star guys into solid 4 stars and occasional 5 stars. They bring in skill players and wonder why they can't block or protect their quarterback. Love it!
ESPN is probably the worst of the major sites in ranking players, Clemtech is a close 2nd.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubble gum.
i think they report the highest ranking regardless of service. However, all the guys in Florida say Alexander is legit, and will be elite. Time will tell i guess, and the tots need some help in that secondary pretty badly.
I also don't have time to teach you how to speak hobo.
I remember when Brian Maddox was ranked a 5-star by ESPN
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
