well. thats all folks. right handed batter up and thats it for mike.
a decent outing. he got a bit tired, and the rangers got a read on him
i lied. im sticking around to see how the inning ends up / ERA impact
jag-off reliever walks home the next guy up
makes 3 on mike for the nite
Ks the next one. 2 outs.
bases still juiced
well that couldn't have gone worse. single up the middle.
2 runs in. all of mike's left on base got knocked in via another pitcher
same thing happened to him the other nite (for 1 run)
oh well. mike showed he can confuse MLB hitters too
hopefully he'll get another run as a starter, and at the least catch on as lefty specialist.
Wonder what this does for him as far as staying or being sent down?
He'll start again. He hasn't pitched more than 3 innings or so all year. He was tired. I've seen that look on his face many times, he was tired. Good thing about Roth, that managers like, is he'll tell them when he's tired. He probably told them he would try to get the next two lefties, then he was done. He's not going anywhere, he just needs to get his arm going this year for longer periods of time.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
I think the Angels were just playing Johnny Wholestaff last night and Roth happened to be the guy they let get the start. Although he is my favorite baseball player to ever don the garnet and black (and white and grey) he really is suited as a 2 inning middle relief guy in the majors. He can stay in the majors and make a fortune over a long period of time just being a set up guy.
