nickname should be "the knife"
I think Dickie Harris was the best punt returner from old school Carolina-hands down. Ace has time to become the best if he keeps it up.
Sterling was pretty good himself. But Sterling could never seem to tell when to call a fair catch. If nobody was within 15 yards of him, he called a fair catch. If they were draped all over him, he didn't call fair catch and instead broke some ankles with his cuts.
Anyone old enough to remember Bobby Bryant?

One of the things that struck me is how many guys were in position to block in the back like the old Carolina would do, and were smart enough and coached up enough to not do it.
You might be right. remember the return a couple year's ago we had like 4 flags on one return? might have been clemmons.
I agree garnet, Dickie is still the best I have seen to this point..........
He lived a couple of houses down from me for several years. I'd be lying if I said I remembered him, but I know about him. Great safety and return man for USC and the Vikes. I think he owns the return record. I think he returned kickoffs. I think we need 2 categories; punts and kickoffs.
Ace is the best I have seen. He has video game moves. playstACEtion. Ace is the best punt returner. Raynard Brown was awfully fast, and good on kickoff returns. I'll go with Bobby Bryant for kickoffs.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Me. Think he had a 99 yarder. Hard to compare the two being from such different times.
Bryant, Harris and Ace were/are all great.
I did a google on Bobby Bryant to refresh my memory. He holds the USC punt return record of 98 yards. He also had a 77 punt return against LSU.
I am rooting for Ace to break the 77 yard record against LSU this Saturday!
Ace is among the best in the nation at making guys miss. He is just downright shifty. We need to get the ball in his hands at every opportunity possible.

Harris was great over the season and fielded MANY. Bryant was excellent. I'm not sure the team plan allows Ace to be as good as Bryant and certainly not as good as Dickie. We may win the NC so conservative play is a must which hurts the individual
That return Saturday night was unbelieveable. I think Ace will make himself an NFL career as a specialist...if he can perfect this part of his game. Simply jaw dropping!
I'm friends with one of his sons; great family. His dad played baseball too as well as being on the 1970's all decade Minnesota Vikings team.

stats wise i bet dickie harris has more yardage, he was spectacular but nowhere near as dynamic as ace
and, somebody named ace does not need a nickname
