Both were oft injured, one ver seriously in the beginnings of what seemed to be a break out year. The other was asked to play out of position, and deal with a new DC all 4 years I think.

Nope. That title belongs to D. Summers.
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
He gets my vote, SG might be the most controversial but no where near the most disappointing. He might have not lived up to all of the hype that was put on him by us as fans, but as many posters have stated, he was instrumental in leading us to some huge wins.
About as disappointing as a night at Saludas.
Going 17-20, 3TDs against one of the best defensive minds in football( Saban runs the D) and being the primary catalyst of that historic win, 2-0 against the taters, 5 hot chicks at one time....
gotta go with Meat, Squeeky, Hurley, Levitt

Boogity not being the first person to respond in this thread would have been disappointing.

I would say he participated in the most disappointing game(auburn) had the most disappointing performance in that game and had the most disappointing season.
Summers and Watson. Take your pick.
The state of SCar? I'll go Willy Korn.
see I disagree on these. They flamed out at the end but had production.
I dont understand how you guys can keep putting Watson on this list, he had a damn good 3 year career he was just a pot head that got kicked off the team. On the field Watson was electric and not disappointing. No question the answer is D. Summers. Never had a good season even though he was only here for 2.

its impressive you can get this many people to respond to a moronic thread. nice work.
Some of the responses on this post sound like Clemson or Alabama fans. Garcia certainly took care of them and he was a hero after those games. How soon we forget! Garcia was a Gamecock and always will be. My God , he had some MIP charges, big whoop! I am more disappointed in Carolina fans that attack their own than I am in Garcia. He is loved and respected by a great many people and I only wish the best for him. The attacks targeted to "our" team need to stop! These are college kids. Wake up people!
I think so, total bust. outside of bating Clemson and having a decent 2010 season he really never lived up to expectations. he was never the savior fools like boogity proclaimed him to be. Glad he is gone.
Elliott "Small" Fry
And he also acted like a drunken sailor for five years. If you are going to give the man credit for everything good he did, make sure you are fair in your reasoning and call out his flaws, of which there are too many to count.
Great post....stir the board up Steve.............
do u remember fred bennett? he's my choice
A total bust is Qrich or Joe Hills. I do like how you disregard his best moments when judging him.
lol at Garia haters.
Did he live up to potential? No.
Did he lead us to the best season ever in the history of the program, and part of the 2nd best? Yep.
Garcia isn't even close. If it isn't D. Summers, then it has to be one of the highly rated lineman that we've had under Hunt. Since our expectations have risen the past 10-15 years, the most disappointing player has to come from the Holtz-Spurrier era.
You can't see! I can't see! All that matters is can the f*&%ing horse see! That's a raid!
He was better than a majority of the players on the roster in the Spuerrier era, and some of the coaches.
I used the term dissappointing because during our best two year run, we had a marginally dedicated, but pretty talented JR-SR QB. Would we have beaten Auburn in 2010 with Tom Brady at QB? Probably not. But we sure would have beaten Auburn in 2011 at home with pretty much any other QB high school and up.
Just making a random offseason observation I didn't mean to get the Garcia fanboys/girls in an uproar.
