I think JC qualifies for a little more than "local AM sports radio".
I disagree. I'm sure that AD Tanner will find a man who will prove to be an exceptional coach. I also believe that AD Tanner will find a coach who is a better recruiter than Spurrier.
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
That's the problem, if some of us disagree with things you guys call it being critical. It isn't.......
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Why/How do you think we'll upgrade after spurrier (coach and recruiter)? I think our next head coach may recruit better but I highly doubt we'll find a better coach which is what steve's post was and you said you disagree.
Talk to Kansas St. fans about how it was losing their old, HOF coach, who is a "poor recruiter". Why is Bill Snyder at KSU for his 2nd term?
South Carolina and KSU are pretty much the same football program. It taks a special, special coach to win at places like USC and KSU. That is just the way it is. History does not lie.

I feel the way i feel because I'm a Gamecock fan, not a Spurrier worshiper.
I have faith in AD Tanner.
I don't "worship" Spurrier. I have been rooting for bad teams for long enough to appreciate what we've got going here. This is our second NC, HOF coach, and the first time we've had a real contender. I also appreciate that he knows more about all aspects of running the USC football program than I, or any fan does.
I agree Steve. I used to really enjoy Keith's posts, and sometimes I still do, but his comments about botkin were classless.
I also agree about Coach Spurrier. He has this program in excellent shape.
You might "feel" that way, but history is against you. Not just our history but most history in NCAA. Very few coaches follow up the best coaches ever at a school and are as successful or do better. I am sure there are exceptions, but that is what they are exceptions that are few and far between.
Here's hoping Holbrook proves me wrong.

Guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.
