I listen to sports talk radio just about all day and all this week I've heard Gamecocks call in and try to play down climpsun's win over LSU, so I've decided to give credit where credit is due. Now.. don't down vote and move on. Read the whole opinion I've written here.
FACT: When Tahj Boyd woke up Monday morning he was already a good quarterback. He didn't need his CFA Bowl performance to convince most intelligent people of that fact. The climpsun people swear he's a Heisman candidate, but that's subjective. Tahj ran the ball 29 times and threw 50 passes. Folk, we ran less than 60 offensive plays as a team. It's safe to say that old Tahj had a CAREER GAME on Monday. That fourth and long pass on the last drive was a sensational throw.
FACT: dabo and company did their homework and had this team prepared. Like em or not, and I don't, dabo and/or Brent and Chad did their homework and had this team prepared. They had a good game plan, were really well motivated, and the coordinators were calling some good plays at key moments in the game. Almost all of the climpsun fans are saying this is a CAREER GAME for dabo and I tend to agree.
FACT: This team played with a lot of heart. They played hard from start to finish unlike many of the games we've seen from them in the last couple of years. I personally think it's the best game climpsun as a team has played in at least the dabo swinney era, and I was told by an ex climpsun player (from the NC team) that climpsun hasn't played this good of a game since their win in '81, I agreed with him.
So... what did we learn from Monday's game?
We learned that it took a CAREER PERFORMANCE from a Heisman candidate quarterback, and a CAREER COACHING performance from an ACC staff combined with the BEST TEAM performance in over 30 years, just to beat a team that will finish the season 6th overall in the SEC on a neutral field by 1 point with a last second field goal. All of that so that climpsun can finish the year with a 1-2 record against ranked teams.
....and they think that's worthy of being called a national championship caliber program. HAHA
EDIT: Was to correct the score. They won by 1 point and I had 2 in the original post.

Upvote for downvotes coming
If everyone reads the last paragraph, there won't be any down votes.
And if Les Miles were not an idiot they would have still lost the game ! Also i disagree on the 4 th and 16 throw as i thought Tahj threw it up for grabs as the pressure was coming and got lucky ! JMO
Like Travis Haney wrote this week, they won't be a national championship contender because they can't beat South Carolina.
Who referred to Clemson as a "national championship program"?
It was dabo in the post game interview right after he molested the female reporter, but he said national championship team, not program.
But that's just spitting hairs, for anyone who cares to argue the difference.
One more- Les Miles happens
Booyah..... Well stated! Up voted for you sir.
Well Les Miles is Les Miles. Some times his antics get him wins and some times it doesn't. He's not gonna change because he tried something and it didn't work out for him.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
abo in the post game. That is how I took it anyway.
Every clemson fan I talk to.
I hope they believe it. The clemson fans I know did not think there was anyway we could beat them this year. This loss hurt them bad. Hope they have the same feeling next year.

I understand your points but I think this pass was more like an answered prayer.
You just throw it up and hope your receiver makes the play.
I agree that pass was thrown up for grabs , it was obvious when you see it from Tahj's view
Look guys... I think you're missing the irony of me saying that. It's part of the build up of Tahjah.... don't over critique it.
Thanks. I can use this with some of my Dabo loving family and friends.
Wealth is the product of man's capacity to think.
There are no evil thoughts except one: The refusal to think.
The only correction I got is that they won by only 1 point, not 2. They'll probably start saying 2 points now since they do like to embellish.
you been munching at the "Y"? that will make you spit hairs.
LMAO.... ok, that's funny so I'm not gonna correct it, but leave it for all to enjoy.
