I sure wish we had a head coach like him.
You are being sarcastic but Flobird would say the same thing in earnest. He thinks Less Brains is one of the best in the business,.
Wonder how many unemployed coaches around the country watched that game last nite and said to themselves....."Damn if I had the talent at LSU I would be klling it "
How in the world do they not score pts? It feels like they havent scored more than 24 since flynn was there?????
because they have a terrible QB.. the play action in the flat was about a 15 yard throw and the kid was wide open.. Mettenberger puckered under pressure.. their OL played terrible.. a very flat performance by LSU..
Les miles = a younger Mack brown.
We'd be looking good in February, that's for sure. September through December, well, that's another story.
Yeah, that MNC he's got, those SECCG wins.... Wouldn't want them. I mean, I bet he's not even close to 30 wins in 3 years, right?
Of course I was being sarcastic. He knows how to coach. He does have a habit of making some bonehead decisions though. And you can bet that this board would be ready to fire him if he was South Carolina coach and made those decisons last night.
Last night he shoud have run the ball at the end and killed the clock. But he did have a man wide open on that 2nd down and the QB missed him. If that pass is complete the game is over.
Pretty obvious the players and maybe the coaches just didn't get too excited about preparing for the bowl game. All those cramping LSU players showed they did not get ready for the game.
The year he won the NC he had 2 losses, and I think it was because like 5 teams choked on the last week of the season. There is something about Louisiana high school football, especially the big guys. They get some insane linemen, and skill players within a few miles of their campus every year. LSU is one of the 5-6 easiest places to win at in the country, as it has every built in advantage you could have. He's painfully conservative, and I think he hates having a good QB. He's arrogant, and tries too hard to be Bo in some of his press conferences.
Spurrier is 5x the coach that Miles is. I don't think anyone would dispute that. Miles and Chavis over-think things, and panic at the end of games. Against Bama, they abandoned what had been working all night, and dropped into a soft zone on the last drive. Then, when they realized that was going to get them beat, the went too far the other way and brought the blitz on that screen pass. Dumb crap, that is foreign to Spurrier. The HBC's biggest critics cannot say that Spurrier gets nervous and coaches differently in big games, or big situations.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Spurrier would not have lost that game last night. PERIOD
Les is not more.
Chavis is the reason that LSU team is where it is the past two years.
