I haven't followed the whole incident too closely (manslaughter trial from Bama game), but what are the odds that the Lindsey twins were present for the fight and friends with the guy being prosecuted for manslaughter? Apparently, they've testified on his behalf.
Like I said, I don't know enough about the case to talk guilt or innocence and its a tragic situation, but I find it ironic the Lindsey's were involved to some degree.

Ironic? Not sure that's a word choice I'd make.
Don't know if they were present at the incident, but the three of them were all renting a house together at one time.
2012 Season stats: 143 carries, 662 yards, 11 TD's; 26 catches, 173 yards;
Praying for a full recovery, Marcus. God Bless You!
Yeah Dustin was actually driving the truck the defendant was in. He testified for the defense yesterday. Dustin had gotten out of the truck too "expecting a fight."
Lindsey's were there. White trash is going to be white trash what are you going to do? Frankly I'm surprised their Dad wasnt there ready to jump in.

Neither the guy who was killed, nor the guy who is on trial, nor their buddies actually went into the game. They spent the whole time drinking in the parking lot.
I was being facetious. Sarcasm b/c its not ironic at all.
I think we all know the Lindsey's have a propensity for fighting/violence. Their reputation precedes them. I was trying hard not to make my post too comedic b/c one young man is dead and another may have his life ruined as well.
But I appreciate you making me aware of what word you wouldn't use.
That level of self-righteousness will catch up with you one day. The good thing is though that at the rate your going you'll get there really fast.
Sorry I call them like I see them. It's not self righteous to take facts and make conclusions. If you enjoy flunking out of school, getting into bar fights with your dad, passing out drunk at stop lights, etcetera then you might be white trash. FYI
Does it make you feel better about yourself? I mean al lot of folks on here myself included will make condescending comments to one another as part of board banter, but you are taking it to another level. I always feel sorry for folks who need to label others wi derogatory terms, so they can feel better about their lives.
My bad guys it was the most accurate description i could think of. I will exit this thread now. Didn't realize we had so many people still loyal to those guys after they embarrassed the university so many times and likely just commited perjury in a manslaughter case.
So you have evidence of perjury, or is that just another attempt by you to cast a negative light on a family?
Maybe the high school honors teacher and football coach perjured himself I don't know. What do you think is more likely?
A large man advanced on the pickup truck Allen Martin Gasque was riding in after a USC football game and punched him quickly several times, causing Gasque to fall out of the truck, which then ran him over and killed him, five witnesses testified Wednesday in court.
I get the trash observation. There is also immature, obnoxious, etc. What I don't get is the need to insert the white part. This is a tragic situation and one life is lost and another is permanently scarred by what was probably a minute or two at the most of poor judgement that I'm sure no one involved intended to happen. Testosterone and alcohol combined with the emotion of a huge game.
Very different stories IMO IYAM
Two former USC football players tailgating after the Gamecocks historic 2010 win over the University of Alabama testified the 20-year-old Gamecocks fan who was run over and killed by a pickup truck after being knocked down by an Alabama fan started the altercation that led to his death.
I wonder if it was a big game on the night of this incident? Didn't mean to offend anybody with the term I used but I think it's an adequate description
DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. -- Twin brothers and former Davidson High and University of South Carolina football players Dustin and Jordin Lindsey surrendered to authorities after being involved in a bar fight on Dauphin Island earlier this month, police said today.
Maybe he did, sorry I feel like actually giving folks a day in court. Didn't realize you we're so knowledgeable on the situation. Are you stalking the Lindseys? Maybe there is a deep seeded reason for your rage with them, you should explore it. Holding back powerful emotions can be bad for your health.
Agreed. I must have had some kind of subliminal nightmare last night that made me angrier than normal. I'm don't know what came over me
Maybe when the going gets tough they should just change their name like you did.
This post makes no sense.
Some folks just aren't happy with who they are.
A different view:
I sincerely thank and appreciate the Lindsay family for being great Gamecocks and people.
Once the media and in this case, Gamecock Intenet sites launch an interesting story line, it became (and can become) a self-fulfilling invitation to problems. That is just what happens with open and easy communication. They were and are tough-guys who put up with no crap...you know a similar mindset of someone you and I love, Swearinger. DJ has limited his toughness to the football field so no criticism to him at all, he's just a tough customer. Once you get the name you attract problems though and in this instance it apparently got way out of hand. I read the article yesterday and I thought it was kinda confusing so I will read again.
Not trying to insult you or be aggressive to YOU here but I doubt they were any drunker than m any of your sons and daughters and perhaps you were in college. As far as I know they never STARTED a fight nor argument...we had just given them the name and they would not back down, ever.
They have a great mother and father and early on I hung out with them a couple of times at away games. I'm always sorry when a life is taken so my heart goes out to that family and I sincerely hope the truth is told and that justice is done.
having been a student back in the 60s at carolina, i can assure you that we have had incidents of drunken football players behaving like dumb drunken fools going way back before these two young men.
you clearly never watched friday night lights or varsity blues. dont you know drinking womanizing & fighting is as all american as apple pie mom & chevrolet.
you prefer a bunch of pansy do gooders crocheting at home & in bed by 10 pm?
i would get over the lindsay twins. what they do as private citizens aint my concern
So . . . they are not white trash just trash? This thread is confusing me.

I could post that the sky was blue and there would be a bunch of weirdos down voting and saying it was red. It's sad really. Like moths to a flame.
Just STFU and make me a sausage egg and cheese sammich pronto
