this is all good advice. I'll also add have consistent commands. The wife can't say "go potty" and you say "use the bathroom".
Also, they'll need lots of exercise to help them not be a terror.
I would not recommend letting the dog out every three hours at night. He'll get used to that. Just let him out before you go to bed and as long as you get up b/w 5-6, he should be fine. If not, he'll let you know by barking.
Got up around 3 and let him out. We both looked at each other wondering what the we were doing out there. Barked at 6 and went out and peed. I think Tonight we will try getting straight to 6.
He is also becoming very interested in posting on TBS (it took me 15 minutes to write this as he kept hitting the keyboard). He may soon be a new member.
