The point of the new ad featuring Tiger is that winning takes care of everything. What kind of message is that !!?? Winning doesn't help his ex wife's humiliation, or the Childrens perception of how marriage should work.
This possibly explains Phil Knights ongoing defense of Joe Paterno and Penn State.
I am done with Nike. Think I will go with Adidas or UA.

I think they were talking about Golf, and sports in general.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
They're talking about how he's been in a slump and everyone was saying that he's done for and all that jazz. Winning solves those problems. Not his marital problems. Duh.
You can't see! I can't see! All that matters is can the f*&%ing horse see! That's a raid!
If you think for one minute that's all they're alluding to, then you are naive.
Rick Reilly sums it up pretty well here.
Rick Reilly says Tiger Woods' recent ad from Nike is more of the same from a man who promised change.
What a load of crap...he is getting his life back together, and she is doing quite well with her BILLION dollar boy friend...in public they seem to at least get along...give it a rest...he does not set my moral compass...maybe he does yours...sad if he does. Tiger is a golfer...not a moral icon.
"Winning doesn't help his ex wife's humiliation"
True, but the huge payday she received does.
I'm sure it appeals to the "fans" Tiger and Nike brought to golf/are trying to reach.
Dear Gawd some people are so sensitive. This country is completely going down the tubes because of all these hurt feelings. My kids don't cry as much as some of you.
Op you can't be serious, or are you? If you are your life must really suck. Who cares if he was a cheating Dbag? The guy plays golf, and plays it great when he's on. When did atheletes who cheat on their wives become anyones moral compass? Sad, Sad place we live in these days. People like you are seeming to become the norm, and if so
This. And to add, Tiger will win The Masters.
he's been saying this phrase for years, and nobody has cared one bit till you can associate it with his transgressions. I don't particularly care, but then again I don't make role models out of athletes.
Tigers infidelity is only the business of himself and his ex wife. Not mine, not yours, not Nikes! I hope Tiger laps the field at all four majors this year and when the sponsors who made billions off of him come crawling back I hope he spits mud in their eye.
Nike is the one that says winning cures all. I say it doesn't. I suppose Sosa and McGuire and Clemens were OK with you guys too. Not me.
Tiger said that during a interview last year. So what he cheated on his wife its non of my business neither is it yours. Tiger is human just like everyone else. He is the number one player in the world again and he proved all doubters wrong so in that sense winning takes care of everything.
Why are you associating the phrase with his personal life? Winning takes care of haters like you.
Winning cures all for Tiger. I don't think he cares what it does for u.
How can u relate Tiger with Sammy Sosa?
Maybe Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, MJ, Wilt,
U know other superstars who unlike Tiger were perfect role models. Didn't drink cheat on their wives.
Kobe and MJ gets busted and nobody cares????
Why so much hate for Tiger?
what is our baseball motto?
winning does cure everything.if we won a natty in football, everyone would forget the hard times we have been through
Nike execs deliberately used this ad to create a buzz. It is something he has said for years, so they can pint to that as the basis of the slogan. It is also a double entendre, which creates a stir. If you think about it, their target audience is the Tiger fan, that is all they are concerned with at the present.
