It may have been a foul. So what? People get fouled every day. Much, much harder than that. I guess Kobe won't be driving to the basket ever again since he doesn't want anyone to be under him when he lands.
I love Kobe. He is my 2nd fAvorite player behind MJ. But shaq DID get him those first 3. And he got bailed out by other players in critical situations during his other rep championship runs. Specifically game 7 of the 2010 finals. Fisher and gasol did everything that game while Kobe was abysmal.
I don't think the play was dirty, nor do I think a foul should have been called. He looked away before Kobe ever landed, how the heck could he have positioned his foot in such a way to make Kobe land on it, if he wasn't even looking? I'm not a Kobe fan, by any means, so maybe that's why I'm thinking this way. But it's basketball, injuries happen, i've never seen an uproar like this over an injury that looked completely accidental from my point of view.
"You’re either a block-gobbler, a farmer, or you’re a damn hunter and playmaker."
Very smug, but I love watching him play.
Better question for this board would be" Who watches or cares about the NBA. I watched all the men 's and women's BB games that were on tv this year but haven't watched an NBA game since the days of Dave Cowens/Boston Celtics.
You don't really need to ask that question. If you're posting in the thread you care on some level.
I don't know if its the hipster thing to say you don't care about the NBA
I like him more as his career has gone on. I have great respect for someone who is as competitive as he is and uses it to make himself better and push himself harder.
Don't know if you heard his quote from the locker room after the game.....he said "I can't believe I have to wait a whole year to get my revenge".
Kobe will call out any diva who is not pulling his weight (Howard or Bynum) and when you have been in the league as long as he has, you earn certain privileges.
I don't agree with everything about Kobe, but in a free country, he deserves the right to be marry another consenting adult.
There is a difference between not backing down, and sticking your foot under a shooter while he's in the air. Jalen Rose has already admitted to doing this to Kobe on purpose to get him out of the game, so Kobe has every reason to get upset when somebody else does it. There is a difference between a foul and trying to injure somebody.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Well the words Kobe and Team Player will seldom be used in the same sentence..
