We gave Under Armour a shot and they blew it. Their jersey designs look like they were done by children, their cleats are a disaster, and their fan apparel has gotten worse every year. Not to mention it’s overpriced.
I vote Nike, but TBH I’d be happy with Adidas at this point.
I agree on the shoes. Not so much on the rest.
i like our uniforms...I agree their fan stuff is overpriced.
completely disagree... you dont think the nike polos sideline polos will be 70$? the wounded warrior unis are hard too..
Love their apparel but its definitely high and low in quality. Their uniforms leave a lot ti be desired.

Top schools are mostly Nike. Check the top 10. Would like us to go that route as well. Especially for our basketball program.
17 of current top 25 wear Nike
6 of current top 25 wear Adiddas
2 of current top 25 wear UA
NFL wears Nike so incoming recruits are going to notice that swoosh on Sundays as well.

UA is the rich man's Russell Athletic.....dump it and get some NIKE PRO COMBAT
As sad as it is, having Nike would help in recruiting
Making bets and cashing checks
Clowney and Shaw now have foot problems. DJ had the same deal with his foot last year. Shaw made a comment blaming the foot problems on UA over the summer, before he had his issue. Who knows if it is a result of bad shoes, but it does seem we have a lot of foot problems.
I would love to go with Addidas, and would be ecstatic to get Nike, but I don't think our uniforms are UA's fault. Spurrier does not want to change them. That's probably the only thing that has been disappointing about his tenure here- the uniforms are ugly.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Not going to happen. We are in a 6 year deal that pays top 10 in nation when we signed. I agree that Nike is a superior product and it would be great to move to them but we are locked for 4 or 5 more years.

One of maryland's qb injuries is a foot injury.
Most of these companies contract out to manufacture their apparel so you never know what the quality is going to be. Even when you buy Nike, which is generally good quality, it varies depending on the product. Early Nike baseball stuff was absolutely horrible. Even UnderArmour, whose early baseball stuff stunk, wasn't as bad as Nike's first efforts.
Disagree. Most of the stuff I've bought looks the exact same as when I bought it.
I paid $50 for a hoodie about 4 years ago, and the thing still looks brand new without a single thread or string hanging off it.
Univ. of South Carolina’s new apparel agreement with Under Armour “is finally done” after the school's Board of Trustees approved a six-year, $19M deal that "finally brings all of USC's athletic teams within the company umbrella,". USC General Counsel Terry Parham said the new agreement makes UA the "head to toe" provider of all apparel and equipment for the university's athletic teams. The contract runs through June 30, 2016, but “can be extended for an additional four years unless either party gives 120 days notice.” UA will “pay an annual rights fee to USC beginning with a $900,000 payment in 2011-12,” and that amount “will escalate yearly until reaching $1.2 million in 2015-16.” The rights fee "will rise by $25,000 in any year in which the Gamecocks are ranked in the Top 15 in apparel sales," as monitored by Collegiate Licensing Co. UA is “required to pay unspecified bonuses to USC based on how well the Gamecocks' teams perform.” The apparel company also is “obligated to spend $125,000 in each of the first three years of the deal -- and $150,000 in each year thereafter – ‘promoting, marketing and advertising’ the success of the USC athletic teams.” USC AD Eric Hyman, who Friday was given a $75,000 raise, said, "It's one of the Top 10 (deals) in the country and one of the top four in the SEC”

moot point... clowneys had that injury since high school. DJs was also a bone spur, shoes dont cause bone spurs...

We have a contract with UA, that will be fufilled. They are paying us a lot of money.
It seems likely that when the contract comes up, the AD will investigate all options and pick the company that pays the most money.
Just get the uniforms right in football & basketball, for the love of college athletics. It doesn't look right to have a classic looking helmet, with an edgy looking jersey/pants...as far as fan apparel, there are some good items, then there are just items that are "tacky". Nike is cream of the crop, has been, still is & always will be. At least we are not with Russell though, so while it could be better, it could certainly be worse.
"Never look down on anyone unless you're helping them up."
Really doesn't matter that much -- we should go with who pays the most money.
I think UA has been good for USC in branding etc, myself. We would never be a feature program in the Nike/Adidas linuep. And UA has pretty noticeable marketing, so that is a plus.
I liked the jersey style the first year we had a lot better than what we have now.
DJ had a broken bone in his foot. Connor does as well. I'm not blaming it on the shoes, I was just referring to Shaw's tweet this summer that insinuated it was the shoes.
I had not seen UA's basketball shoes before. Kacinas sits next to me in class and wears them, they look pretty nice.

Are you a doctor? Can you diagnose that it doesn't? b/c webmd begs to differ
Exactly. I have one of the very first UA polos they made for USC and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. I also noticed Saturday that a couple of my buddies were wearing "vintage" UA polos from '07 at halftime and they still look good too.
Nike's alternate jerseys are typically horrible. Remember the two-tone Virginia Tech and Florida uniforms? Ugghh. Ours are not my favorite, but I think UA has generally done a good job outside of Maryland's hideousness.
We wore grey camouflage pants.
