"Remember whose side you're on, regardless of the outcome."
Grookster, my email is LCD1962msn.com and I would be happy to communicate with you and/or your mother about her diagnosis. I am 50 and have survived breast cancer twice. I have studied this disease alot over the years since my first bout with it was in 1993.
She can beat this!
prayers sent for Paula.

Cancer is a tough disease.. I beat it a few years ago but I always know in the back of my mind that I was one of the lucky ones..
BIG PRAYERS TO YOUR MOM HOLDING HER HIGH
My prayers are sent. I can certainly understand your shock. It was about a year ago that my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As you may or may not know, this diagnosis is often made far too late. But we were fortunate that he became symptomatic early due to having had his gall-bladder removed and they were able to get it all. Now he's cancer free for the time being, only having to deal with some ancillary issues arising from scar tissue buildups from his treatment.
The one thing that I would advise to any cancer patient/survivor, though, is to be vigilant. At any hint or sign of pain, get seen immediately. I lost a mentor of mine due to her waiting to see the doctor when the pain came back. She waited too late and it spread to multiple regions of her body. Her doctors felt that they could have likely stopped it in its tracks if she had come in when she first noticed the pain. I remind my father of this almost every time I see him.
Wealth is the product of man's capacity to think.
There are no evil thoughts except one: The refusal to think.
Prayed for your mother and your family. Only advice I can offer is to focus on the positives. Your mom sounds like a terrific person.
What we do today echos through eternity
I will certainly pray for you and your mother.
