Pickens Police Department officer was fired Monday after he posted details of a traffic stop involving Clemson University head football coach Dabo Swinney on a University of South Carolina internet message board using department equipment, police chief Rodney Gregory said Friday.
There is more to that story, and dabo ought to be ashamed of himself. He did not get fired for posting on here.

**** I'm not an insider, I just live here ****
Yes he did. He used dept. equipment when posting.
"Although Gregory said Swinney and the officer displayed themselves in a professional manner during the incident, McClatchy, who Gregory said had recently been promoted, was fired Monday for violation of city computer policy, violation of code of ethics and violation of general orders."
I had a feeling that this wasn't going to end well for the officer that posted the info.
Now we know what he posted was true! It's a shame it had to end that way for him. Maybe he can get a job with the USCPD?

On 09/03/2012 around 2000 hours I clocked a vehicle traveling 63mph in a 35mph zone. The vehicle continued at a fast pass into the parking lot of Bi-lo and into a parking place. Immediately upon stopping the driver, Dabo Swinney exited his vehicle and approached my patrol car. This typically is a NO, NO! Fortunately I immediately recognized him and did not consider him a threat (I’m not scared of a tiger!). Another male exited the vehicle as well and introduced himself has Dabo’s brother.
When Dabo approached me he apologized for the violation and stated he was late for his radio call in show. It’s my belief that he thought he would be excused for the violation and continue to his appointment. I then requested his driver’s license and vehicle information which he provided. He and his passenger were then asked to have a seat back in their vehicle, which they did not.
While completing my paperwork inside the vehicle the public began approaching Dabo at which time he began socializing and signing autographs for fans. This is why they were asked to sit in the vehicle. While completing my paper I was advised by the Bi-lo manager (who also came out to the scene) he had a city official on the phone who wanted to speak with me. I did not take the call. I was then approached by Dabo’s brother who informed me that he is retired police officer from Alabama of 33 years and ask if I would take that into consideration. I advised him I would do what I could and I again asked them to have a seat in the vehicle. After completing my citation Dabo was in the middle of signing an autograph so I asked him to step to the rear of my vehicle so I could conduct the business in private. He was issued a reduced citation for speeding. After receiving the citation if was apparent he was surprised or upset?! He then returned to his vehicle to place his paper work. After shutting his door you can clearing see in my in car video that he gave me what I would call an unfriendly glare, shook his head and then proceeded into Bi-lo. After the traffic stop was complete but before I turned off my camera I was again approached by Dabo’s brother who told me he had never been so disappointed in the uniform, that I was a disgrace to the badge and that if he ever saw me on the side of the road needing help I wouldn’t get it from him! As he walked away from my car he stated “you will get it one day!” Fortunately this all was captured by my camera.
The next day I was informed by my chief that Dabo called him the night of the incident at his house to from what I understand to state that I was unprofessional and put him in an unnecessary situation by having him out in the within the public in the parking lot.
After reviewing the in car video I was advised by my chief that I did act professional and did my job. They put themselves in that situation by standing outside the vehicle after being asked to sit in the vehicle.

Be happy fellow Gamecocks... this is just another nail in his coffin. Even being as stupid as taters are... they will eventually figure him out.
You can hear his brother try to get him out of the ticket and then him tell him youre gonna get it one day when he comes back to tell him how disappointed he is after he wrote the ticket.
I'm really interested on who he called and what the rest of this story is.... because based off this CU and Dabo look like a match made in heaven and he and his brother acted like asses.
This is the crux of the matter:
"The next day I was informed by my chief that Dabo called him the night of the incident at his house to from what I understand to state that I was unprofessional and put him in an unnecessary situation by having him out in the within the public in the parking lot. "
Dabo is used to him and his players being treated like royalty by the Clemson PD. No wonder none of his little angels ever get charged with underage drinking or similar minor violations, as USC players do.

Dabo is a turd. He fits in perfectly at CU.
