I'm at Duke Medical Center where my father is undergoing a lung transplant. I got the call that an organ had become available at 5pm and left Aiken headed for Durham. They took him back at 3am and started surgery shortly afterward.
Once I got out of "radio range" my wonderful wife placed her cell in front of the TV so I could hear the ESPN broadcast. I hate that I missed the game, but some things are more important than football.
Praying for your father. My FIL had a liver transplant at Duke. They are the best.

Out of surgery doing well. Thanks all!
Prayers for your Dad and family. Also, you are right on two things. First, there are more important things than football. Second, your wonderful wife making it possible for you to hear the game. Keep us posted.
You have my prayers. I have two friends that have had lung transplants - one a double transplant and the other a single lung - they are doing very well. The one that had the double lung transplant just celebrated 10 years with his new lungs. He plays around "300" rounds of golf a year and walks the entire 18 holes on probably 90% of his golf. the other just had his transplant about a year ago and is progressing well, able to travel and visit his family and do some yard work.
Best of luck and prayers for your father and your family.
Best of luck and God's speed to your Dad, thoughts and prayers.
