Great to hear. Thanks for posting.
I just went and cruised a couple Bills boards...apparently he is tearing it up and is going heads up on Steve Johnson every practice and winning his share of plays. The coaches can't believe how level headed and consistent he is play to play and day to day.
Stevie Johnson?? meh, tell him to come to Davidson and I'll show him what it's like to go against a real receiver. If it wasn't for my love of paint and to serve the people, I'd be there.

Should be a pinned thread. Went from HS QB to first round pick to starting NFL CB, through DBU!
Why he didn't come out of high school rated as a 5 star player is something I will never understand. The guy is an absolute baller. Never missed a game with an injury and never caused one minute of trouble. Model student and team player.
Precisely. Maybe his shoulders were not wide enough.
He needed bigger hands and longer arms, because that's what makes a great football player.
My HS coach, who has has sent multiple players to the NFL including the Gamecocks own Sheldon Brown, had Gilmore in the Shrine Bowl.
He told me after that week that Gilmore would be the best athlete at USC the time he stepped foot on campus.
He also said that SOS would be crazy if he didn't see some time at QB while there.
I honestly didn't believe him, and I was def critical of Gilmore at times. I was also surprised when he chose to come out early. But I am happy for the kid. He kept his nose clean and plays the game the right way. Seems like a high character guy.
I think this was the turning point for SOS. He finally got top notch talent, but more importantly, they were good kids on and off the field.
I hope he has a long, tremendous pro career.
