Yes Al, I am talking about SC players. Most players want to play close to home. It is more difficult for a coach to get a top SC player to go out of state which is why Spurrier was able to keep guys like Gilmore, Lattimore and Clowney at home even though Saban recruited the hell out of them and wanted them badly. There is no evidence to suggest that Saban can outrecruit Spurrier for top players in SC as Fulton is the only highly recruited SC player on Bama's roster.
As far as out of state players (not AL or SC), any 4 or 5 star recruit who has a choice between Bama and USC, the Bama tradition is going to win 9 out of 10 times no matter who is coaching where. To think different is being very naive.
I believe that Saban at SC would improve our OOS recruiting.
