10 yrs, 100 million on the table?
the dominace must end, so tired of the GUMPS
That would be bad for us because Datboy Swindler is clearly the next Bama coach and I'd hate for our state to lose it's head clown.
would be the same results as with the Dolphins if he goes...
He actually would do a lot better in Cleveland. Most of Sabans problems were around front office. This wouldn't be the case in Cleveland.
To pinpoint this. Saban wanted Culpepper but was overridden for Culpepper.
You realize that would help UGAy and UcheaT don't you? They raid ATL and other parts of GA for prospects. We'd be better off with Bama being dominant.
It just means at Saban is our next coach when Spurrier retires.
Sick of the tide. Bama can suck it.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Meh. I'd rather compete with Tenn and UGA for guys than a dominant Bama. A weak Alabama opens everything right back up.
Saban's not going anywhere. He's a god in Bama. He could beat his wife in public and they'd make a statue of it.
I'd be glad to see any SEC head coach leave who takes recruiting as seriously as Saban.
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
The man said himself yesterday or the day before that Drew Brees was #1 and didn't pass the physical.
I think you could recruit at alabama right now.
Players hated Saban and Saban hated his players in the NFL. He wants to be worshipped like a God and in the NFL coaches arent treated that way....by anyone....they are employees that are expected to win or out
When he coached the Dolphins one of the best players on the team, a defensive player nonetheless, told me they players all wanted him out. Thats a big reason he ran from Miami
Jason Taylor seems cool with him.
Nick Saban addressed his past in Miami, his future at Alabama and more in an unusually personal and revealing interview with a Miami radio show.

He put out info that if Michael Lombardi was hired in the front office that's who he'd work with.
Jason Taylor wasnt super popular either so maybe they got along well ;)
soooo, you and zach thomas are boys?
nope...not boys...but came straight from him
He actually told me some worse stories. Lets just say it got very uncomfortable in Miami Sabans last year. The owner loved him but the players HATED him
You cant treat guys making more money than you like bitches. That style doesnt work in the NFL
Al you are right about his being serious, they've got a kid commited from Lynchburg, VA/Brookville H.S., VT owns the area and school - have good friends w/ a son there, Lynchburg is not easy to get to and Saban has visited 3/4 times. Even w/ the school aircraft, I have to imagine it's not near anything else or "along the way" to another recruiting visit - Saban has taken Belichek's system of drafting a certain type player for a given position and recruits the same way, moreover seems willing to go anywhere to do it. Listening to XM 91 recently, Finebaum, guest on the show was talking about "best" college coaches and said he felt it was Saban, guest went further to say that SOS was as good on the field etc. and if SOS recruited as hard as Saban they could/would be mentioned as two of the best.
I have to admit I would be interested to see just how far we could go if SOS decided to change his mind about recruiting but it's not going to happen and I learned a long time ago not to get too upset over things which I have no control, some might call that settling but after 40+ years as a USC fan I like where we are; we've come a long way in the second half of SOS's tenure, though it's a little tenuous right now/this recruiting cycle, at least at the LB spot, we are still moving forward and I think it will continue.
"Act like you've been there before and expect to be back." - Bear Bryant
Don't think Saban leaves, Chip Kelly is the most likely; especially w/ all the NCAA mess that is coming down the road.
