Time management before half was ridiculous and the 2 point conversion worked but was dumb to go for it when he did and that dumb ass prevent 3 man rush defense at the end was the dumbest of all...
Edit: I should clarify that I mean this one game not his career. He made several crucial mistakes that he got away with.

Well that just isn't true
That statement is just ludicrous.
He made some bone headed mistakes in that game that could have easily cost him that game
What wasvhis record at mich st?
George Strait-Entertainer of a Lifetime
Time management is definitely not a strength for Saban, Richt, Miles, nor Spurrier. Probably some of the worst in all of college football.
He was 7-6, and 6-7 for like 4 yrs, then went 9-3 his last year. He was avg there.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
I thought rushing 3 and playing prevent was the wrong call too.
Bad play calling for bamma on both sides of the ball.
I agree with OP and thought his coaching had to be overcome by great athletes.
Whoever made that play-action call on 1st down for the go-ahead TD made the call of the game. Don't know if it was Saban or OC, but they set them up perfectly and made right call at right time.
To support my argument there is no way that was Saban's call. But I will agree with you that it was a great call and ultimately won the game
He has made the best program in college football the best program in college football. He will go down as one of many, many coaches in their history to do that.
We do not know all the goings on behind the scenes. All we see is what takes place on the field. It's hard to breathe much less call plays in a pressure packed game like this. My hats off to the winner no matter how they got it done.
Why do we always focus on the negative?
mmm mmm mmm "South Carolina Gamecocks" Good
because we are a bunch of people posting on the internet, to be honest. lol
Isn't that what the internet is for????
So, do they not get the trophy?
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
Yes. They have enough talent to make up for bad coaching
Hate to be the guy that ruined the fake punt with the false start
