A lot of folks questioned Sidney's intelligence when he left Minnesota for Seattle. He looks pretty smart right now.

He's on a roll...
Thx for sharing. I think he was with the Vikings and not the Packers though.
It was Minnesota. Brain fart. Brett Favre, Green Bay...
He went to Seattle for the dough.
Sidney went to Seattle solely because they offered him the most money. It had absolutely nothing to do with whether or not he thought he'd be more productive in Seattle. Seattles QB was tavaris jackson.
Don't disagree with the money - I would too, for that big a pay increase, wouldn't you?
However, Sidney stated "Seattle gives me the best chance for a Superbowl ring." I can remember that rubbing some Vike fans the wrong way.
So glad Wilson is working out for them .
All any team needs is someone to get Sid the ball. We all know that . It was great watching him that one seasons with Favre
The money would do it for me in a heart beat. He's making the equivalent of $3846/hour. That's $8 million a year. That is some kind of gas pumping money since he played for the GAMECOCKS!!
MAGGIE SAYS; Don't do anything today you may wake up and regret tomorrow
Reminds me of him at Carolina
Brett Favre in Minnesota was what gave Sidney his break.
Sid was Brett's go to guy.
The next year Sidney was hurt and didnt do that well. He also had Tavarius Jackson as his QB. He left Minnesota the following off-season for Seattle. And look what happened... Seattle signed Jackson that year as well(I believe it was through a trade). Sidney finally has a decent QB again in Wilson so look for Rice to have another breakout year next year.
Sidney might have gone to Seattle for the money but if I remember correctly, he liked Jackson as a QB.
Think about what you just said.
Another factor was that Darrell Bevell left Minnesota to become Seattle's offensive coordinator. He was bringing with him the offensive schemes that allowed Sidney to put up elite numbers at the position. Seattle having Bevell and Tarvaris Jackson in place gave them a chance to lure Sidney away from Minnesota, and then the money was just too much to turn down.
Giving my opinions on Gamecocks message boards since 2002.
I would never question anyone's intelligence for taking a 3yr,40MM deal.
The only thing I remember anyone saying he was dumb for was starting a record label. If you watch anything on athletes blowing money it's like top 3 of most common mistakes.
He's still making ridiculous catches. He has sick hands.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
