see I think this is going to be one of the best spring games we have seen and ill tell ya why. Typically we have walk ons playing even before halftime. But now we actually have real depth, so we will have young guys getting a shot to play and play a lot. Many of them we really havent seen much. It will be fun to see our young guys on d-line and o-line going at it all game. We will get to see wilds and davis and see how they match up, see how good Salley looks now that he is 100% or close to it, get to see if ronnie martin is going to be able to contribute in year one, we can see what our future looks like at QB ( which last year i was really excited to see McEvoy and was blown away ) we will get to see if S. Jeffrey is making the strides to one day be as good as his brother, we will finally all get to see if Kwinton Smith is as good as the insiders have been telling us and to see if Jody Fuller is going to live up to his 4star potential. We have so many young guys that none of us have really gotton to see play before because we are actually able to redshirt them now. We will get to see if Deon Green looks like he can get in the rotation and see if Dukes has progressed as well. If you add those two DT's along with Kelsey Griffin, JT Suratt, GD Jr, who knows Quarels could end up getting passed on the depth chart unless he keeps getting better. We get to see if English can be as good or better than DT, and hell we even get to see the best DE in the country and maybe the best DE anyone has seen in a decade play at least 5 plays. We get to see what our young linebackers look like to go along with a bunch of new faces in the secondary. Im excited to see what Chaz Elder looks like at either DB spot along with Chris Moody. We get to see what our new center will look like in a game situation, and get to finally see what Brock Stadnik brings to the table and see if either him, park, or sport can possibly knock off patrick at RG.
There are so many great things to watch in this spring game where usually we only get the first quarter to see any of the actual guys that play then we get the white guys that will never see the field at DT and in the secondary as well as WR. I think its going to be one of the best spring practices we have had to follow and followed up by the most interesting spring game to see. I am really looking forward to it.
The fourth quarter of the spring game is more exciting than any golf match
YES! Lets fill up Williams Brice for the spring game! I've always been impressed how Bama does it every year 100k+
Ill be there. I suspect most on this board will.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
With all due respect, the Masters is just not "any golf match". Any other tourney, including the other three Majors, I would agree.
I'll be there with my son and father. Dad missed all of last season due to health reasons. He hasn't seen the beast board yet.
I read on one of the sites that they where trying to-get Darius Rucker play I know he told Spurrier if he needed to ever play to help get folks out all he had to do was ask. But he is pretty busy now doing his Country Gig.
I love Carolina football, and usually go to the Spring Game. However, rare is the time that the game itself is worth the 5 hours I spend on the road to see it. The best time of all is when Hootie and the Blowfish were there. It added a bunch of fun to the event. If we added something special to the occasion, we may get a lot more coming. On the flip side, I remember when we had just a few thousand there, so it's a lot better now. Also, please buy a program from the Lettermen. The money all goes to benefit the Team.
If they keep the date (opposite the Masters) and time I'm choosing the golf. Why not play at 7:00pm - then I'd do both.
Agree w that ... Snoozefest

I'll be taking my paid time off during the spring game so I can come watch it.
Bless your little heart
I think we will see the biggest crowd yet this spring..weather permiting. You have a core crowd that is there through thick and thin.....then a much larger crowd that wants to be a part of a winner. I think the winning is growing the fanbase by leaps and bounds...and it is free. A day like last year...and 50+ k easy.
Will the student section clear out at halftime? :D
I don't go to the Spring Game expecting to hash out the depth chart, decide whether or not we will go 12-0 or 0-12. I go to support the team.
We have a favorable schedule. My thought is that it would really cast an eye on the support level for the program by the players, coaches, university, and the nation if we could generate a 70k attendance mark.
That's the reality.
Last year was my first spring game, and I absolutely loved it. It gave me a chance to get to "know" the players before the season started. I read up on all of them before the game, and I bought a program when I got there. I actually knew more about the players and who was contesting for what position than the long-time football fans I sat with.
Yes, I was parbroiled, but, yes, it was worth it.
I'll be there in sunshades and, possibly, a hat.
