I went over the Tarheel page to read the Pharaoh Cooper article, posted a few times--no profanity whatsoever. Strelow deletes them and other gamecock posts but leaves all comments by the tarheel fans with feelings hurt. Thread reads completely devoid of meaning now. What a thin-skinned bunch over there. Can't wait until Aug 31. Lived in NC for 12 years, having to listen to all the fake elitism.
if i am not mistaken he is a unc grad that wears light blue tinted shades as well. could be wrong though, but i believe i read or heard he was a unc grad somewhere.
Pharoh has the coolest name in CFB. His interview is impressive also. Seems like a smart, polite, well-spoken young man.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
If I'm not mistaken, he also used to cover Clemson--maybe for the State? Would explain further his aversion to the Cocks.
He covered the Cocks for the Spartanburg Herald - from the viewpoint of a Clemson fan(he admitted it too) - ridiculous. the only writer in the world covering a team from the viewpoint of its chief rival.
Well they are the best 3rd quarter team in the country at least according Deems May.
Yeah not a huge fan.
He speaks so well? What did you expect him to sound like?
Just stop. Are you denying that many young athletes who give interviews aren't very well-spoken.
He's not making a social commentary, just an observation based on observable facts.
As I explained in a private message, Legion38, I deleted them to hopefully being overwhelmed by TBS folks in what had evolved into a trash-talking session of UNC vs. USC. As I quickly learned at the Clemson site, it's not good business to allow such vitriol to go too far -- subscribers don't want their board swarmed by the opposition.
All are more than welcome to comment over there on Cooper or offer reasons why he's going to stick with USC, that sort of thing. But the back-and-forth antagonism didn't serve any redeeming entertainment value, IMO.
By the way, I am neither a Clemson fan nor a UNC fan (anymore). Yes, I am an alum, but any rooting interest quickly dissipated when I moved down here -- an out-of-sight, out-of-mind thing. I know it's hard for you to fathom, but I would say you haven't walked in my shoes. I am a diehard Golden State Warriors fan, though -- covering college sports for so long has directed the "fan" in me to the pro game.
My wife is a speech and language pathologist. She agrees with his assessment.

**** I'm not an insider, I just live here ****
Its going to be uncomfortable tailgating if their fans are close by. I am not used to having people drink white wine and smirnoff ices while tailgating around the Brice.

I know someone writing for the Alabama site here and he does not really root for the Gamecocks anymore. Same type of deal.
I think it is ridiculous you would even need to come here and defend yourself, honestly. Lots of thin-skinned individuals.
