SEC - Iron sharpens iron.
Sounds like Dabo.
I love what I see from Whammy so far...but to proclaim any DC as a possible successor after only 9 games(Citrus included) is a little premature.
I want to see him be productive for another 3-4 years(post Clowney) before I start entertaining the notion.
Been saying Gruden for a few years now. Lou was instrumental in getting Spurrier. Spurrier is tight with Gruden. Don't count it out...

Ask me in 5 years when it matters...just sayin.
Laugh as you will but Bama may be looking for a new coach after this season especially if they win another NC. Saban is a coach to me that always is looking for the next best achievement and I think he has his eyes set on the NFL. Smart will be looked at by Bama if this happens
as far as Carolina I would like to look at Patterson when the time comes or even the guy from Boise State
Patterson will be the next coach at texas. And chris petterson i think is his name will not leave boise. I would like to see gruden ot mike tomlin. I think alit of kids can relate to him sincr he is a young coach.
We will, in all likelihood, go back to being 4th or 5th in the league when we get a "new coach", so I do not want to even think about that. We have had two of the best coaches in history, and have only been very good one year.
Besides, why would we want to hire Bobby Bowden?
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
We're 4th or 5th in the league now Steve.
and possibly below...
Georgia won last year b/c we can't seem to beat a west team not named MSU or Ole Miss
Arkansas (until Petrino got canned)
All of those teams except Arkansas out recruit us every year and will continue to outrecruit us b/c of their name/tradition.
The best chance we have to win the SEC even a year or two is some great coaching, great player development and some lucky breaks.
We can hire Nick Saban (great recruiter and defensive mind) but year in and year out we will still continue to trail most of the top 3 in the conference in recruiting. The classes Alabama and LSU, pull in are substantially better than our classes.
Talent is not why we lost to LSU and the talent gap is not that big. Didn't we beat #1 Alabama two years ago?
We finished 5th last year.
We're 6th right now.
It is a ridiculous thought to even consider that Bob Stoops might leave Oklahoma for USC. I realize we are in the big bad sec but Bob has a pretty good gig going at OU where he can just as easily play for a national title there. If I am not mistaken he would have to take a pretty significant pay cut to come to Carolina as well.
I really wish some people would give it up with the whole Gruden thing also. If Gruden retrurns it will be to an NFL team. I really dont know how that guy became the holy grail of football coaches anyways.
Did somebody really bring up Mike Tomlin??? It is hard to tell when somebody is being sarcastic in a thread like this so forgive me if that is what was happening there
The thread is really beginning to make us sound like our ugly red headed step children in the upstate.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Gruden at Tennessee next year
The rug really tied the room together, did it not?
What are we now? We're behind Bama, LSU and UF. We've lost to Arkansas 5 out of the last 6 years. What's the difference.
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
And Georgia and MSST.
I'd rather spend big bucks for someone who deletes trolls like you.
Now, why would you direct a personal attack at someone simply for expressing his or her opinion? You running for Congress or something?

How are we behind Uga who we have whipped three years in a row and MSU who we beat last year and have a senior heavy team this year.
I'm talking about the east. We have annually battled Vandy and K-Y to stay out of the basement in the east. These two losses have somehow given some people the opinion that Spurrier is somehow holding us back. I get the sense that too many have lost track of just how far we have come. To think that Spurrier is holding us back is ludicrous, because we would never even be in the position to win the east without him.
We have had 15 yrs with 2 hall of fame coaches who have won national titles. 2 of the best there ever has been. We have had 1 really good year so far out of all those years. Some have lost track of just how fortunate we are to be in the position we are in. Jawja, Fla, and even Tenn have history and/or location as a HUGE recruiting advantage over us, and we have passed jawja and tenn, and are right there with Fla. This is rare territory for USC, and will not last. We are not an elite program yet. We are playing so well, and getting the recruits we get for one reason, and one reason only, and that is The HBC.
We are quickly turning into jawja fans. Richt has avg'd 10 wins a year. That is so good it is ridiculous. They have been consistently the best they have ever been. Yet, they lose a couple of games, and they want to fire their coach. We are on the verge of turning on the best thing that has every happened to us. I can assure you that it will never get that far with Spurrier. The minute he feels us fans are growing tired of him, he is gone. Then, it is back to the annual battles with Vandy, and ya'll will see what a bad team really is. We have been a crap program for a hundred years. We have had moderate success for less than a decade. It can quickly go back to how things were. I see some fans on here as a detriment to this program, for their opinions will run The HBC off. We need to be careful what we wish for.
That is all.
Well get some money I guess. Maybe you can sell candy door to door.
We're not, obviously. BCM stands for the club of people who think Spurrier is a bad coach. It stands for "BigAl, Chad( dabo is under Chad), and Me( as in him)."
