Te'o stole all of Clowney's awards from him.
Never have I seen a player the media salivates over get embarrassed so bad, repeatedly, in the spot light.
Pulling for Clowney to sweep them all next year.
I felt the same way when I was watching him play last night... Looked like a boy among men.
Life is short.... go no huddle
He won lineman of the year, even though he's NOT A LINEMAN. Unbelievable.
He better get better quick... I realize BAMA has a great OL but he won't make it in the NFL playing like he did last night.. he looked very small to me also
"Never look down on anyone unless you're helping them up."
Best post I think you have ever made and I couldn't agree more.
Elliott "Small" Fry
And to think, some people were comparing him to Luke Kuechly & Bobby Wagner
100% on. I'm sure he's a nice guy but he didn't belong on the field last night. He was out of his league. When they listed all the awards he won and i saw that he was the defensive lineman of the year I laughed.
True that. Uppy....
I'm Mormon and think he should go see his bishop and admit to theft.
I feel for him with his personal tragedies, but he got WAY TOO much mileage out of all that this year and it propelled him into the spot light and helped keep him there. I think the bulk of his picks were cleanup on tips where he was almost playing a shallow CF type position. Much like the one he got with about 3 yards of last night, dove and got a hand on it. Herbie and Musty so wanted him to get that pick. Much like his team he is/was overhyped and overrated. No way ND should finish 4th in the final polls after that clubbing.
34-17, 4-3, 7-1, 29-7, 34-13 ALL STOP!!! It's a GREAT TIME TO BE A GAMECOCK! Back 2 Back Natty's! DOMINATION By GAMECOCK NATION!
Unfortunately, that is what happens when you play for a team with a weak schedule (such as ND had) and everyone buys into the ND hype.
Clowney deserved better. But, Clowneys payday will be much better next year than Te'o's this year... buy several milllion.
And, I wonder what Lou is saying/thinking today after he picked ND to win? He didn't just pick them, he was adament they would win. I like Lou, but I am so glad he has to eat his words on this one.
Lou always picks the schools he coached he even said that when he picked us a few times over the years
