Hope we step up and reward him for a job well done this year. His recruiting ties in Georgia are worth almost as much as his coaching IMO.
"Those who live in the past are cowards and losers" -- Mike Ditka
What makes you think that?
Ray Tanner is only 1 yr removed from coaching, so he knows how important great asst's are. I would imagine he is going to give the key guys a good reason to stay.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
They should go after him. But he's not going anywhere. We wouldn't let him go. Though, if we did, I'm sure it'd be time to give Lawing a shot and I'd be okay with that.
Ward wouldn't leave for anything less that a head coaching job, imo.

We have more money than FSU
This could be just me looking through garnet glasses but Elliot staying is kind of like Marcus and Clowney deciding to come play here. Elliot has shown by his actions that he believes we can win big here just like Marcus and Clowney did by coming here. Maybe with other assistant coaches seeing Elliot staying here will make them want to stick around here too... Wishful thinking but hopeful
This is what the FSU fans are saying. They're also saying that Ellis Johnson is the one to tell FSU to go after him.
I could not see us letting him go anywhere... We will put up the money that is needed to keep him.
Lol. I'm sure the ACC or Big 12 are very appealing for an Alabama guy at one of the better SEC programs under a HOF coach.
I like what you're saying but do we even know if Elliott was offered the job? Pretty sure he wasn't. He's just eliminating himself because he knows who is getting hired. I bet he would have taken the job and I wouldn't have blamed him for it.
"Never look down on anyone unless you're helping them up."
Look FSU is a great program. However, fact is Whammy is an SEC guy. He wants to be a head coach and when the right job comes along he'll move on. However, I just don't see him leaving to be a DC at an ACC school. The guy is going to be rewarded $$$ as are all of the coaches. I'm sure EJ dropped the name, but Whammy is happy and coaching in the SEC.
30k fans at most stadiums in ashe she.....SEC is big boy and BIG TIME football....hes not leaving for the Noles
Lawing would have been our DC before Ellis was if he was interested. He is not interested in doing anything other than what he is doing.
Elliot was App State's #1 option. He could have the job if he wanted it
I'm not sure any of that is true.
Tony seemed to think it was Elliot's job if he wanted it, but in sure you're much more informed.
Boom! Got me. Just my opinion, no need to get saucy.
Because of the ACC, this would not even be a lateral move for Ward. Might be a raise involved here, but if Ward leaves it will be for a HC job. Just don't think he's ready for that step yet though.
No problem here, but you've called two posts out as being wrong when you appear to be the one who is, in fact, wrong. Don't be so sure you're right.

I am right.
You're right that Elliot couldn't have had the job if he wanted it? Yea, I'll take your word for it..
