gain and lose recruiting seasons I can remember. I know we haven't had a big commit in a while and most recently it seems we've lost more than we gained. That being said, if we close with 2 of the 4 linebackers we've talked about and Rogers the OT, once the smoke clears, how did we do? Seems like in the end we'll be about where we always are. I think most of us would feel better closing with a bang instead of a whimper coming off back to back 11 win seasons, but next year may be our big one both on and off the field.
i think the most important thing is to keep our coaches intact, stability in the coaching staff helps in coaching but also in recruiting. Just look a the EAST, they have a new coach in Kentucky and a new coach in Tennesse and a new d coor at Georgia and now it looks like Florida will a have new d coor.
Am not so sure on Rodgers, looks like UMd has gotten in the picture or maybe in front, if we can pull Rodgers back into the fold, looks like Senat will come on board, as Wes stated, paired w/ Griffin, that's a nice DT haul, if we are able to get two out of Moore, Powell & Yannick @ LB, for me that's a very serviceable class. Is it elite, being objective it's not, but it's pretty good.
Have never been a star gazer when it come to ratings, though the more stars a prospect has USUALLY leads to a prospect contributing, I trust our coaches, mostly, to get the best available talent. In state recruiting was down this year, we have three new coaching staff members, am not surprised there is some back and forth. We'll have a good but not great class this year, 2014, for now, seems to hold some promise/potential for a banner class.

I feel like we are buildin '14 up so much, that anything less than top 3 will be a dissappointment.
Anyways, this is a pretty good class. Not our best, but not our worst.
The '10 class, which was ranked 25th, had Marcus, Connor, Dylan, Ace, Vic, AJ, Surratt, Nick Jones, Jerideau, and Corey Robinson. That was a good class. So, you never know until everybody gets on campus.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
We got David Williams recently. I consider him a big time commitment.
Am not trying to build up 2014, so much can happen in the next thirteen months; it's all speculation till Feb 2014, feel like it's fair to say that we are in the mix with numerous highly rated prospects at the present time, with several being in-state or right next door. I'll take a class like 2010 every year, guess my point is we have a "jump" on 2014 with many players that 4/5 years ago we would have had little to no chance with. Very much TBD to see where we end up for this year let alone 2014.
The future is NOW!
Everything is gonna be alright
Rankings are entertainment . The guys here do a fantastic job and certainly have an eye for talent .
With that said you can't gauge Eric Norwoods heart . Melvin Ingram was once a two star . Captain so on.. Y'all know the drill
There are so many kids to cover its nearly impossible
We have a good staff. Trust them . 22-4 is Spurriers record the last two years in Columbia . Only 6 teams won 11 game the last two years . Trust the staff
If Marcus never got hurt we may have played for a Natty this year . Injuries happen though
It's the best time ever to be a Gamecock
