Some of you guys/gals really need to grow up! Am I really disappointed that both Langley and Rolin have flipped on us? Absolutely!
However, what good does it do anybody to question the sources of the staff members and joke about them being sunshine pumpers etc? Not to mention, i've see a few posters "demanding" answers because this is a pay-site, and claiming they don't get the inside information they're paying for...
Are you kidding me??? It's $8-10 a month for a VIP membership, which equates to about $0.30 a day or so. What exactly are you expecting for that nominal fee??? Surely you don't expect 100% all-access to the inner-workings of Gamecock Athletics. If you don't feel like you're getting your 30 cents a day's worth then I don't know what to tell you.
Between all the VIP room, insider nuggets, articles, recruiting scoop etc, the TBS guys do a fantastic job providing us with an inside look at what we all love...the Gamecocks. While most of us would kill to have their jobs (me included), we need to keep in mind these guys probably have a difficult job when it comes to striking a balance between providing subscribers with enough "inside" information yet not sharing everything they are privy to...thus maintaining the rapport they have established with coaches, athletes, and other sources. On top of that, as maddening as it is for us to follow recruiting, I could only imagine covering recruiting and relying on the words of 17-18yr olds to produce stories and forecast trends. As Whittle said in another thread, recruiting is such a fluid situation.
All that said, I think the TBS guys are by far the best source for Gamecock info, and my $0.30 a day is money well spent even when a recruiting battle doesn't go our way!

Knee-jerk reaction from being butthurt. I'm sure the staff saw it coming, and will deal with those that go overboard with their comments.
So if you went to McDonalds ordered a cheeseburger and got a fish sandwich you wouldn't complain because it only cost $0.99?
No, I would probably just laugh, eat my $0.99 fish sandwich and call it a day. That said, I may go elsewhere the next time i'm looking for a fast food fix...just like you have the option of going elsewhere for your Gamecock information. However, to keep the fastfood analogy rolling, TBS is the Chick-Fil-A of Gamecock sites...most of their customers are happy because they're thorough and they do it the right way.
Best post I've read today by a million.
I for one am grateful to be a part of this team who provides us with the best info they have at any given time.
mmm mmm mmm "South Carolina Gamecocks" Good
Absolutely...the TBS guys are some of the best in the business and go out of their way to give us around the clock information. Unfortunately i think some posters are allowing their disappointment in a couple 17-18yr old kid's personal decisions to overshadow years of solid work...
Thanks for a great post. Amen to your comments, some people need to grow up themselves and realize recruiting is dealing with 17 - 18 year old kids that have been led to believe they are the final piece in the puzzle that will make some team #1. They have been pampered in high school and soon they start believing all their press. Not all can have their head on straight like Marcus Lattimore.
Unless you are good enough and know enough about football to be hired as a coach then you aren't going to know ALL the inside stuff. I'm sure the TBS staff knows some things they can't tell because they can't embarass or reveal their sources. The TBS staff does a great job and if you feel another site gives you better information then you should change, it's your money.
most of us wouldnt go in making a scene over it and getting some girl fired for giving you what she was told was a cheeseburger. BTW, thier fish sandwich is prolly a little less unhealthy esp if you scrape the mayo off. it's possible she knew what you needed more than you did....
Tom Webb has had an incredible evening!
