Wonder who will get the job after Butch Jones? They will be bad next year against a very tough schedule.
Thank the lord he almost single handily beat us this year.
Justin Worley era? Doesn't Jones want to run the spread? Worley damn sure cannot. Tough spot. Dooley should've redshirted him now he has to decide whether to stay in offense he can't run, leave for another D1 and lose a year, or head to I-AA?
Him and a very good offensive line.
So who do the Viles have to play QB next year? I can't picture Justin Worley being all that effective.
Dooley had no choice; Bray had a broken thumb.
Worley can transfer and use his RS year while he sits out for the transfer year. The Viles are saying that they have some other QB that RS this year who Butch Jones recruited previously and can run the spread.
Bray is addition by subtraction. He's a cancer.
I hope Aaron Murray goes too. We are going to need a lot of help beating the pups this year.
Replacing at least 9 D starters, the butt sniffers will also need some help beating the Gamecocks next year. Our thin LB corps will not be as vital due to our DL and defensive backfield strengths. Almost everyone on O will be back for us.
Not really, kid was good. That offense put up some points this year. Problem was the Defense being awful and Dooley was clueless as a Coach.
Worley is the reason I'm not sold on the current QB at Northwestern who LSU has reportedly offered and football guru Jim Baxter thinks we should offer. I saw them play and he reminds me of Erik Kimrey - very smart and a very skilled player in a system that utilizes 95% easy, short passes.
UGA gets the majority of their offense back, as we do, but if all their underclassmen declare for the NFL they could lose up to 12 players who started at various times. It's not a strong QB class, especially after Barkley from So Cal, Murray is a smart kid, their schedule isn't as soft next year it wouldn't be out of the question for Murray to at least take a long hard look at going.
"Act like you've been there before and expect to be back." - Bear Bryant
Talented no doubt. But still a cancer.
if Bray, Patterson, and Hunter returned we would have had a tough time beating UT at UT next year. Im glad they are gone. Chalk it up as a victory
he might be the most liked player on the team. How do you judge him as a "cancer"?
Terrell Owens was well liked by many of his teammates...Bray quit on his team in the Vandy game, not to mention the complete disrespect he showed to Dooley. As the QB, other players take their lead from your behavior. And no matter what you think of your coach, he still deserves respect.
Man I dislike that old Carolina mentality.
the funny thing is that i bet most of the vol fanbase is glad to see him go. in the depths of ncaa sanctions, having a qb intent on acting like a jackass is not a happy thing, even if he can sling the ball around
most of them want to turn the page, get rid of all baggage from kiffen & dooley.
they are on probation for football & hoops behavior. it behooves them to want to act like choirboys.
