Not to get too far ahead, but what have you guys experiences been parking down there for games in the past. I'm going to my first in two weeks and could use some suggestions after looking at their facilities map.
Go early and park in the neighborhoods by the school. You might pay $50 plus but there are not a lot of options.
^^^^This, if you don't know somebody and are just going down with no plans.
Get there early. Park along the street (same side as the stadium) leading out of town. It is free and only a short walk to the stadium. And you will be able to get into the line of traffic leaving town much easier after the game.
I always park in the lot next to the Holiday Inn.
Pay to park and make sure you have a receipt to place in your window. Trust me. Gainesville has four (FOUR) roam towing companies. It is a scam but is allowed. And the local lawmakers/police benefit from it of you follow. You absolutely will be towed. Everyone there gets towed. You have to verify when you park. I know it sounds asinine because what city treats guests like this right?
This is where we've parked for the last 8 years. Great grassy area that you can just pop your car over the curb and drive onto. Bathrooms across the street in the Engineering building.
