Believe the first two weeks of February are showing a pattern that could produce a possible storm. We will see. Running out of time. 4 weeks left.
George Strait-Entertainer of a Lifetime
Possible "clipper" system of a few flakes on Feb 1st. Theres not a lot of precip with it and those dont do well in the upstate.
Running out of time.
Don't look at the latest models unless you want to be suckered in again.

I'll take it, I'll take it, I'll take it..
chance of tornados....Auntie Em Auntie Em ........

The State had a front page article on the storm of 73 today. Columbia got 15 inches, pee dee close to 20 inches. Anyone remember this storm? Before my time unfortunately. They had first hand accounts from many people. A lot of fomer Carolina students and some good pictures. Hope I see a storm like that one day. The 2010 storm is the best I've seen in my lifetime.
My mom and dad were at Carolina when that happened. Based on the number if times I've heard stories it must have been epic.
Alright thanks blackdeath I hope so
Article said it was considered storm of century for sc before hugo came along. Awesome article for 40 year amniversary.
If this happens, the state will shut down for a week or more. It sure looks pretty now though
I'm always a little curious as to how these models that gococks and flobird use show what they do but weatherchannel and accuweather always seem to have it completely different in their long range forecast.
A lot of diferent models, dnc. We only like the good ones! Ha
no, i got that but those are 2 major weather forecasters so it just makes me curious on how/why flobird and gococks rely or read the others vs accuweather and weather channel. not saying they're wrong by doing that b/c i've never really compared the accuracy of them but i'm curious.
These are long range models. You look for trends. If the TV folk went on air every time something came up then they would be wrong 90% of the time. They wait until the trends keep happening and it gets dailed in. What folks post here is the step before that. We can afford to put it out here because if we are wrong then who cares, if the TV guys are wrong then all hell breaks loose. This is the start of possible trends, its been showing a few days. Lets hope it continues. But that right here (as of whats on this map) is a snow storm like we have not seen in these parts for 25+ years.
