I know the plan is to rip up all the asphalt, but are they putting in pavers, grass, bricks, etc? Is there some type of architectual rendering that will show what is going up in front of the stadium?
I think it would be pretty cool to have a some type of Gamecock statute in front of the stadium at the entrance fronting the farmers market kind of like the Carolina Panthers or LSU.
I want a moat.

According to The Newspaper That Shall Not be Named, design work is currently underway on a plaza with grass, trees, and paved walkways. They have about $4 million in hand, and need another $4 million or so to complete the job.
Thanks for the answer. Ray should be able to raise that money without much issue. That type of work could be done easily in the offseason.
Actually, water features are being used frequently now in corporate complexes to both add beauty (water feature) and make it more difficult to pull up to a large structure in a car loaded with explosives. But hey, it's a stupid idea.
And FWIW, the $4,000,000 is a donation made over 6 years. We aren't in year 6 yet.
Can't recall if I saw it posted here, FB or where, but LSU installed lighting to enhance the under-structure of their football stadium. Looks very cool. Can alternate purple & gold, all purple or all gold or whatever combo. Looks very sweet at night

I like the idea of a statue of coach Fitz, with his hands on his hips.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Okay, I thought that most of the cars were going to be in the Garnet Way area and about 200 vehicles will be allowed to park around the stadium. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that mean that the vast majority of hte cars will be gone?
I think the only cars around the stadium will be for staff, emergency vehicles, and broadcast equipment/personel.
Next time I speak with Kevin O'Connell, I'll ask him about it. I don't have the answer for you right now.

8 million to beautify the area around the stadium??? WOW!
We need to brick around the outside of the stadium with the same brick used in the athletic village and add rows of palmetto trees. Would be spectacular and would add a homey feel to compliment the farmers market and fairgrounds.
