I think this guy sums it up. Certainly did not mean to jab South Carolina. They are going to be great again in 2013 and the schedule works well, too (Clemson and Florida at home, no LSU, Alabama or A&M).
I like the QB at Georgia, but I also know your team rocked them as well.
Clemson has Boyd. I think they're team to beat in ACC, but they could easily lose again to South Carolina. Appreciate the insight from the folks within the state.

Steve, as you know, Clemson is our in-state rival. I couldn't help but notice that you mention their games against Georgia and FSU will tell the tale for them, with no mention of their game against us. Then you turn around on your analysis of our team and you mention our game with Clemson.
Am I being nit-picky? Probably, but it is what it is...

They play South Carolina at the end. If they don't beat UGa they will be out of the NC mix, if they don't beat FSU they will be out of the ACC mix (likely). That's all I meant. If they are 11-0 when they come to play you, they can lose and still go to ACC title game and BCS bowl.
Which is why the often-repeated statement, "I hope they're undefeated when we play them: is asinine.
So according to where you think that they will end up at the end of the year, you feel that Clemson is going to beat SC?
That is the ONLY way that they will be #6 at the end of the year since the game that they play against us is towards the end of the year.
Can GA be ranked ahead of SC at the end of the year, that is certainly possible even if they lose to SC (Which I think ost people here think that they will).
I don't think that people here feel that Clemson have a chance to go through their cupcake schedule undefeated, which means that they should not be in the top 10.

An 6-5 team from the ACC can play in the BCS if they win the "tallest midget in the room championship", that is a flaw with the automatic qualifier, but there is NO WAY that a team from the ACC playing a pathetic schedule like Clemson should get in to a BCS (at large) if they lose to us, nor should they have ANY business being ranked in the top 10
After reading your comment regarding the possibility of having had a Ohio State - Notre Dame national championship if Ohio State was not on probation. What a travesty that would have been.
Neither of those teams really had any business in a national championship game and it showed loud and clear during the BCS CG. One can only be thankful that this outdated system is going to go away next year and hopefully we will actually have the 4 BEST teams in the country playing in the semi finals instead of teams that play soft schedules and manage to go through undefeated.
I am not saying that there won't be years where Ohio state or Notre Dame deserve to be in there, but based on last year, neither team had any business being in there if you look at being the "best" teams in the country.
This past year, you had Alabama, Oregon, T A&M, Standford that were clearly the better teams at the end of the season. Those 4 would have prvided us with some excellent games and a true championship game.
A travesty that Ohio State and Notre Dame was even mentioned in the same breath.
As you said regarding Ohios State, "The schedule is one of the easiest of any of the top 10 contenders for the national title" and if they somehow manage to lose a game, they should not even be in the top 10 at the end of the year.
