In your opinion
Somewhat unrelated, but UT might have 3 former WRs drafted in the top couple rounds. At least all three are top 10 ranked receivers
The rug really tied the room together, did it not?
Alright I'll be the one to say it: 14th.
That's just plain unacceptable IMO.
14th no, you still have to remember Kentucky, Auburn, and Mississippi State. I believe we hover somewhere around the 10th mark which is pretty bad considering having Spurrier as a head coach. One other thing to consider is the recievers can't catch it if it is not thrown to them. I am not saying some of the blame is not on them for getting open but we ofter heard Spurrier say this year that Connor had to let the ball go and trust the recievers. I did not see a lot of drops this year either. It is going to take a year of elite recievers seeing that our offense can be effective with the zone read and also spreading the ball around in order to get some on campus and iterested. This issue is not something that you can lay on one group. The O-Line has to block for the routes to develop, the QB has to make his reads and let the ball go, the receivers have to read the defenses and be in the right places. A lot has to happen for a receiver to put up big numbers.
Do you know enough about what the other conference teams have returning to make that statement.
I doubt it.
Just came into post my amazement that Steve Miller hasn't seen this thread yet.
The receivers did very good with the opportunities they had. In the games we actually threw the ball, the caught it and made plays. The last 2 games, we had 4 weapons at WR.
OP is trolling, and I can't believe I responded to his post.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
You literally beat him by seconds.
Middle of the pack prolly. Doesn't matter too much if Shaw is Qbing and the line is struggling. He only throws it roughly 20 times a game. I realize you're trolling(color me shocked).
This is pretty much how I feel at the moment but don't know about any other team than ours. I think Jones will be reliable and Ellington above average provided he plays. One of KJ Brent or Kwinton Smith just has to be better than DL Moore. If Byrd and Roland can get their hands up to par then it may push us into the top third of the conference.
