"You’re either a block-gobbler, a farmer, or you’re a damn hunter and playmaker."
I'd love to play in a money league with someone like the OP. The guy who runs his fantasy team based on any real life allegiances is the guy most likely to get buried. Obviously, it's a different story if it's a keeper league, but, barring some miracle recovery, it's highly unlikely it would make sense to draft him for 2013 fantasy.
A smart NFL team won't even put Marcus on the field in 2013. Give him an extended recovery period. No sense in him coming back like he did at the start of this year when he clearly wasn't 100%. He could play for 10+ seasons in the NFL, and there just shouldn't be that much urgency to bring him back for eight or so games in 2013.
If there was money involved, not a chance.
I don't think Marcus will be full speed until the second half of the season next year, at the earliest.
I hope he goes to someplace like Green Bay, who could really use him. GB is just easy to pull for, also. Nobody hates GB, except people who live in Minnesota.
Marcus will be very similar to Frank Gore in the NFL. It would be cool if SF drafted him, bc Gore is not getting younger.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
no way I would draft him next year, now when he gets healthy I will draft him if value is there. I play to win not pick players that I cheer for as fan of. I just picked up alshon off of waivers, I wanted to draft him this year but some fan picked him way to early.
however if marcus is set to return I might look to pick him up off of the waiver wire a few weeks before set return if my roster allows me to.
