Hell yes .
We have two Nattys in baseball . Be a few years on bball anyway
Lets see...basketball team was so horrid under Horn where it couldn't be much worse so thats a wash and we have won in baseball so I would in a heartbeat take zero win seasons in both for a national title in football.
To the OP: Yes, because baseball and basketball are the type of sports that you can recover quickly from a terrible season. Look at USC basketball, where just last season we were the laughing stock of the SEC, now we are potentially three years away from competing at a high level. Baseball's the same as in you can be out of it one year, then a CWS the next. And you could argue that a national championship in football could entice recruits from all sports. that atmosphere is a recruiting tool.
As for clemson, while thirty straight losses to clemson would suck, I don't particularly care for/about clemson at all. Losing to them wouldn't hurt my feelings unless they got in the way of a 10 win/national championship season. They aren't in conference, and the actual game against them doesn't mean the winner is the better program. So yeah, I'd take the natty. and a natty while celebrating.
I'd one up you and go for both left nuts for a NC in football
I think you are both NUTS...
I was afraid somebody was going to offer up the two BB championships. Being a baseball guy, I have to respectfully refuse your offer! Been a longtime BB season ticketholder who was in Omaha for both titles, and I wouldn't give that experience up for anything.
No although i do want our boys to bring some titles home i would rather have a successful athletic program as whole because if all sports are winning and doing good it helps with recruiting and after their seasons are over they have things to do around campus instead of going out and getting in trouble.I just want so much for our school besides one sport championship i want a powerful school as a whole.
