No more visits for Ngakoue
By Phil Kornblut
LB Yannick Ngakoue of Washington, DC considered an official visit to Miami this weekend but it will not happen. "He's not taking any more visits," his coach Azaar Abdul-Rahim said Friday morning. "He's going to lay low the next couple of weeks." Ngakoue is choosing from USC, Maryland and Florida State. All three head coaches have been in and there is no favorite at this point. "All are pretty even," the coach said. "He's looking at the position he's going to be used and playing time." Ngakoue will announce on Signing Day with the ceremony to begin at 10:30 AM at his school.
Can't wait for this cycle to be over.
That's because you take all the minutiae of recruiting too seriously. Bottom line, Carolina is going to have a top 20 class in a down year for in-state talent.
Not really. Was just an off year.
No disrespect intended, but why do you consider this an off year? Should finish with another top 15-20 class, several 4 stars, very good OL class, etc.

People must not remember our recruiting prior to the 2010. Even that year we only got one big time recruit and that was Clowney.
Other than that 2007 class that was ranked so high our recruiting has always been subpar; we are miles ahead of where we were just a couple of years ago. We actually have 4* guys wanting to come here and actively out recruiting others to come here as opposed to just being a backup plan.
Also we used to never get guys to commit early to us, this is only something that has happened in the last 2 or so years (maybe 3).
