Praying for a full recovery, Marcus. God Bless You!
Class rankings are based on the individual player's ranking. Teams like UGA and A&M sign a ton at one position DB and WR respectively. However, did they fill all of their needs?
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubble gum.
The recruiting rankings are seriously flawed. First, they are subjective and there is no way that every HS player can be properly and evenly rated with other players, some at the same position and most not. The services put much weight on which programs offer a kid and on camp settings or 7-on-7 tournaments. Then the rankings cannot take into consideration that heart, work ethic, intelligence to learn playbooks and from college coaches (many excel in HS on pure athletic ability), adaptability to college life with its distractions and demands (the vast majority of these players have been coddled throughout grade school), how their bodies and attitudes (and priorities) will change, will they miss momma and the HS posse, the "perils" of freedom (away from home). etc. Few, if any of our players, talk about "me, me, me" all the time; they are generally well spoken, well grounded, and have high character and work ethics. Just look at Alexander's comment, "I am the missing piece" (Chode Kelly last year was another prime example) None of our recruits or players talk about themselves, even our stars like Clowney, Lattimore, Ace, Swearinger, Alshon, MI6, Cliff Matthews, etc. They talk about "team" and inspire each other all the time (look at today's tweet from KJ Brent about Shamier).
Two grand boys, Two state championships. 5-peat USC
