yeah - just don't get frustrated the first day you ski. it WILL be frustrating...the skis will want to go in directions that you don't want them to go in.

make sure you are warm and dry. it'll be tough to enjoy if you are not comfortable.
Buy yourself some nice snowboarder clothing and then park your butt near the fire! Enjoy the view!!
Out west. Just got to Vail a few hours ago and got our skis. I am with my in laws who have skied their whole life. Should be interesting...
This is hysterical. I hope that you are not going to snowmass or deer valley with blue jeans as ski clothes (not that the OP suggested this). That would be embarrassing to say the least.
Take a group lesson. You will be glad you did.
