At the talent for next year its looking like a top 5 type of class. Kids are starting to have a lot of pride growing up a gamecock fan. amazing what winning can do
Don't get your hopes up. Unless we've major attrition we won't have room to sign over 20 kids therefore no chance it'll be top 5. Just look at USC this year - 5 five stars, 9 four stars, still not top 5.
Bateman is right, just don't have the numbers. Quality will be great though.
I'll be ok with a recruiting class outside the top 5 as long as we continue to FINISH inside the top 10
This. I literally could not care less what our recruiting ranking is. I guess it is a status symbol for some, or whatever, but I would much rather just win games than recruiting rankings.
With us just signing 15 next year, it will probably not be a top 10 class.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Personally, I only care that we get high quality SEC kids with good character. It's been working very well for us the poast 3 yrs. If the coaching staff is happy ..... I am happy.
we are only gonna sign maybe 15 guys. No way we are top 10. It will be a terrific 15 however.
isnt there always some attrition?...at least a few/ possibly several
lol! Its gonna take more than "several" just for us to get 15 next year.
how many can SC sign without any turnip trucks, transfers, etc? 15?......so if a couple "move on" it could be 18? 20?----idk..just asking
no. Without any turnip truck we would only be able to sign 6 or 7 next year. we only have 5 seniors plus we lose the 3 in the penalty. Getting to 15 is assuming a LOT of "attrition"
I would love to be able to get to 20 somehow. We should've taken less players this year.
Do not forget that we have Joe Harris J Thomas and Vickers coming in from prep school possibly in addition to those being considered by our coaches need to make it gin clear to prospects about how much room we may or may not have.

Silly thought. If you like kids this year, you take them. Next year is a long way off and nothing is guaranteed.
Also, DT Carlos Hood is in JUCO and was a previous commitment.
Swimcock, thanks for the reminder I had forgotten about him
My guess is they take Vickers from prep and maybe Jhaustin from juco if Deke likes him. Doubt we take hood and Harris again. No need for a Juco on OL or at DT imo. A physically ready DE is a need though. Hopefully add one more bigtime DE.

Good points but we are a little thin on the interior of the OL, as well as young with Patrick as a senior and Cann as a junior next season. Harris was very highly ranked and has a mean streak that Shawn Elliott reportedly loves.
