For Florida in 2 weeks than he did around here in 20 years
you obviously have not been a gamecock fan for very long. He used to be one of our premier recruiters.
This is going to shock some people but any coach who recruits for UF and Carolina will do better for UF. 97% of the high school players in America would prefer to play for Florida over Carolina. I know the usual suspects love to have that as a reason to bitch but it is a fact.
Florida is a bigger football program than Carolina and the high school kids like them better for the most part.
I know that will shock some people.
chucktcock, you should stop believing all the wannabe know it alls around here. You should believe what you see. There are lots of pretend in the know people here that really don't know squat. Just my humble opinion.
Lawing got a promotion, raise and went to a bigger school. Those are the facts.
You are wrong. Very, very wrong.
Seems as if you think you are in the know about this...Are you calling the guy you pay to get information from on this site a liar?

Me too. Fact is there are some loose cannons out there. Muschamp is an emotional volcano, who is more likely to see eye to eye with those loose cannons.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Me three. I agree whicha Steve, kinda hard to understand this one. Everyone knows something shady went on here for him to just up and leave...but I guess like Muschamp he is worth the risk in UF's eyes. Still trying to figure this one out...
Definitely a strange situation, reading various/previous posts from the TBS staff, Lawing seemed content to be a lifer @ USC, think it's safe to say something happened to make him want or need to leave, again, according to TBS staff, it seemed to be personal. I admire the way TBS didn't go TMZ - I gotta tell ya, I would really like to know the whole story, just a head scratcher for me.
BTW, nice work w/ the avatar.

No, that is absolutely not what happened. As a matter of fact, this may be the most uninformed post I've read in quite a while.
Put yourself in his shoes.
Wouldn't you try to make a good first impression and hit the ground running if you switched employers?
The kids he is seeing know him from SC. Wonder what kind of recruiting he will do when he has to start from scratch with new kids.
Yeah, on the same page as you with this. I admire TBS as well for not making everything very public, but you have to think since the coaches are all in this tight knit fraternity per say they know the whole situation and what went down, yet they still say hey...cmon over and start recruiting for us right away. Head itches, gonna scratch it.
Yes absolutely, my point is...as stated above is that if something so bad happened for him to up and leave here why is he just let loose to go and recruit these kids from day 1? If he indeed did what he did to dunlap, who ironically went to Florida, then wouldnt you think that there would be some kind of restriction on him like there was here or do they not know/care? Just a little weird in my eyes....
Its doubtful Muschamp would know the details of what happened to the degree SOS knows them. There are some pretty well documented issues with BL, not to mention the rumors. He was named as one of the coaches that offered money for Albert Means. He was responsible for flagrant violations while recruiting TRob. That's just the stuff that came out. Then you have the rumors about Dunlap followed by a dramatic decrease in recruiting activity.
Exactly...so why does such a high profile coach/university take a risk like this? Obviously its pretty well documented that he has a troubled recruiting past. If we know what he has done, certainly they do too....to a certain extent.
