and 7th in the SEC... amazing. 21 wins in 2 seasons and still 7th in SEC recruiting ranks... That's WITH Clowney, one of the most well known players in the nation on our team. Anyone have any thoughts or feedback on why we cannot seem to snag "the big boys" or hold on to them?
surely we can do better than 7th in the SEC
One would think. It's certainly perplexing.
Lack of top shelf in-state talent. We will always struggle to get top out of state talent unless we're cheating. We have a good formula, recruit the best in sc and evaluate like heck. This is who our program is.
If people would stop having emotional over-reactions, it is clear to see this is the best our program has been since forever. To say stuff like "surely we can do better" is like being handed the keys to a Ferrari, when you drive a woody-wagon, and saying: "surely, you have a nicer car than this to give me".
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
It is amazing to me that after we lose the recruits we have lost that we are still a top 20 recruiting class. That tells me that the commits we have are excellent!!!
starts from the top... Recruiting not a top priority...
Thx for reminding us all of what is REALLY important. Recruiting rankings.
i don't they are the lords word or anything, but it's no coincidence Bama is always at the top in recruiting, and always at the top in BCS...
You'd think after the recent run of success we could land a top ten class.
Wether some will refute it or not and downvote all you guys want, but the reality is the older Spurrier gets the more valid the argument gets from opposing coaches that he "wont be here for another 4 years" especiall when he gets on a public airway and repeatedly says 8-10 years.
Rolling over an extension every year to cover the 4 year thing is good and is a necessity, but it's not like SOS is in year two here.
Bama has a dozen national championships and a coach that fantasizes about scyping with recruits while he is having sex with his wife on vacation.
I'm all for the full scale freak out when we lose a recruit to VA Tech, but are we seriously outraged at the thought of losing a guy to UGA or UF.
Freaking out over a guy that just had his knee surgically reconstructed last week- what was that guy going to give us next year? Or ever? If that is the case, WGAS if we drop from 12 to 16 in the rankings if he wasn't going to see the field for two years, if ever?
