Could Jacklegg's job be on the line now?

  • Based upon seeing this pic, I think he got to the AD at Clemson as fast as he could. The bus left late, and so Jack ran like he runs down the line from 3rd base and just made it to Pickens County. Credit where credit is due, that's some running for a middle aged man :)

I think he had an appointment with the AD (at his earliest convenience) to explain why his program can't win? My bet is he will say it was the umpire’s fault they lost yet again.

An inside source told me the AD's first words to Jacklegg were ... "They own you like a rented mule. The fans are contacting me by the thousands, and asking me why you are still here. And get cleaned up, you look like you ran here after the game Jack. We’ll talk more tomorrow.”

Run Jack Run! Don’t let them catch you. We need you to stay around a few more years.

On the serious side, do many feel he may indeed lose his job as Coach of Clemson's Baseball Team?

He shouldn't. They have been to the NCAAs 22 out of the last 23 years. A lot of teams fall off the table In their down years (LSU last year). He has the unfortunate situation of the best program in college baseball being his arch rival. If they fired them they'd look like idiots.

Na, I hope Jack Legg, Rev. Dildo, & Jim Bob, John Boy, Joe Don Phillips all get life time contracts at tater tech. Klempsin deserves them, & they deserve klempsin.

  • Well LedCock, I hope they can't get him!

    Thanks

    Hope not

Love seeing that excuse-making jackass repeatedly get his ass handed to him by Mr. Class, Ray Tanner.

  • They'll probably give him an extension. Like the other Clemson coach that loses to us repeatedly.

My brother in law said after the game that Clemson is in the unfortunate circumstance of being caught in the middle of their arch rivals' dynasty, the worst thing in sports. I thought it was the perfect description for the programs. We have been able to chew them up and spit them out in our dynastic endeavors. I love it.

  • The man was a good coach at one time and had some class. The last few years have changed him into a losing whining jacka$$. But he wins enough and still has enough respect around the country that he will not lose his job. He has become Clemson's version of June Raines.

Not being picky, but hell doesn't have an apostrophe.

Anyways, I don't see any way they could fire him. You cannot compare your coach to Tanner, or you will never live up. Its kinda like standing next to me at the urinal, the other guy is always gonna come up short. The water is cold in those, BTW.

Anyways, the taters have been calling for Gary Gilmore to be hired at clemmons. God, wouldn't that just be a match made in heaven.

I have never met him, have no idea what he's like personally, but in 2010, after we had crushed ASU to knock them out of the CWS I was walking out of Rosenblatt with the team.

Leggett and an assistant walked up and congratulated our players as they were leaving. He didn't have to do that. And a couple of USC fans started giving him crap about it. I thought that was pretty sorry on their part.

Corbin would be foolish to leave Vanderbilt now.
