Based upon seeing this pic, I think he got to the AD at Clemson as fast as he could. The bus left late, and so Jack ran like he runs down the line from 3rd base and just made it to Pickens County. Credit where credit is due, that's some running for a middle aged man :)
I think he had an appointment with the AD (at his earliest convenience) to explain why his program can't win? My bet is he will say it was the umpire’s fault they lost yet again.
An inside source told me the AD's first words to Jacklegg were ... "They own you like a rented mule. The fans are contacting me by the thousands, and asking me why you are still here. And get cleaned up, you look like you ran here after the game Jack. We’ll talk more tomorrow.”
Run Jack Run! Don’t let them catch you. We need you to stay around a few more years.
On the serious side, do many feel he may indeed lose his job as Coach of Clemson's Baseball Team?
Respectfully Submitted,
Davy

He shouldn't. They have been to the NCAAs 22 out of the last 23 years. A lot of teams fall off the table In their down years (LSU last year). He has the unfortunate situation of the best program in college baseball being his arch rival. If they fired them they'd look like idiots.

The man was a good coach at one time and had some class. The last few years have changed him into a losing whining jacka$$. But he wins enough and still has enough respect around the country that he will not lose his job. He has become Clemson's version of June Raines.

Could Jacklegg's job be on the line now?
