Couldn't Hold Back..Started something on Tigernet

  • So I spent my daily 5 to 10 mintues over on Tigernet today just reading what those bright individuals had to say. One comment led to the another and I ended up posting 5 paragraphs or so with facts about Clemson's probation after winning the National Championship in 1981. I am pretty sure I touched a nerve. Those guys jumped on me immediately and all stated that they would talk to me after February 18th and ask me "how probation is going with no bowl games for two years." Am I missing something? Does anyone close to the situation actually think the NCAA will levy a penalty that steep on SC? This may have been answered many times prior, but I wanted to be sure I have not missed anything new here. Thanks in advance for your response.

  • You do realize that the average IQ on that board is equivalent to a head coach who cuddles with his mom, right?

"I used to walk up a hill to and from school in my days", says every Clemson student ever.

  • Yes...I do. I guess I should know better.

  • Any Clemson fan I've ever spoken to about that site has said the same thing: "TigerNet is for the guys who know nothing about anything related to football." That's directly from Clemson fans about their own people. Tells me all I need to know about TigNet.

  • That's good to know. No reason to go back over there then. It takes about 5 minutes for my blood to boil. Thanks for responding.

Joseph.......how dare you insult the intelligence of a 2nd grader. You are giving Clemson fans far too much credit! I would equate it more to being equivalent to that of the rock they like to massage 7 or 8 times a year.

  • I had a Tater in my office yesterday that said, "Are you ready for February 17th?" I said, "Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Tomorrow I'm getting tickets for me, my son, and my mom and dad for that Saturday." I thought he was talking about baseball's opening weekend against VMI. He was talking about our meeting with the NCAA. I told him from what I could tell Clempson fans know more about that date than we do since we're not worried about it. We'll take our self-imposed sanctions and be done with it. He used the words, "hammer is going to drop" at least 3 or 4 times.

My second graders can read and they only use animals for food or pets. I'm offended. If you retract this, I won't count it against you in my upcoming staff rankings post.

    I'll fix it.

  • What's amazing is they claim to have 105,000 members. I have to confess to being one of them.

Then, when the "hammer" doesn't drop, they'll claim it is because the NCAA won't seriously punish any SEC teams, and that all SEC teams get away with murder.

I'm 7 or 8 of them. Unfortunately, I can't post under any of those screen names any more.

I got banned once because I got a picture of the site's owner and photoshopped it onto Hitler's body, posted it, and called him a Nazi. Every time a mod would delete it, I would just repost it.

    lol that's hilarious.

I, on the other hand, have NO idea why I got banned. Just went to respond one day and couldn't. It's probably for the best; I already spend enough time over there without being able to respond to the idiots.

I did pretend to be a tater fan, but who doesn't?

I also don't have time to teach you how to speak hobo.

Me, too, but usually, I only go over there after a particularly humiliating Clemtech loss.

The average IQ over there is broccoli.

Actually.. the funny part is... I am FIVE of their members, because that's how many times I've been banned. LMAO. When they ban you from posting, they don't keep you off the site, just keep you from posting.

There main board shows 40 titles per page and typically about 25 are about us.

Right now the hot button is about the coaching changes. They say "They are jumping ship, right and left." But the taters don't seem to remember the 6 coaches they have on payroll that no longer coach at climpsun.

They talk about our pending meeting with the NCAA, but never remember the illegal National Championship from '81.

This is so funny because I posted the "above" response before I read you and Blair's posts about being banned too.

I'm with you though gamecoug... they just ban anybody they think is a Gamecock. You don't necessarily have to post Hitler pics, if you're not drinking the orange Kool-Aid, they boot you.

Gmail allows you all the accounts you like.... I've got a new membership pending. We have verified that at least 15 of their "MEMBERS" are banned Gamecocks so I wonder what the real total is?

    CockyMike1

  • People I know that actually went to or go to Clemson laugh at that site.

I think I can sum up the board as follows:

-Columbia (Cootlumbia) is the worst place to live on this planet, right up there with Mogadishu
-All of our players are criminals, even recruits who two days ago were classy young men & wanted to be part of the Tiger family
-Feb 18 is time for the NCAA hammer. Apparently we are repeat offenders and are borderline SMU case
-Us beating them three years in a row and winning 20 games in 2 years is clearly an abberation, while them winning an extremely watered down ACC is clearly them assuming their rightful place at the top of the conference
-USC cheated in the early 80s as well, at least they won a title
-Brian venebles is Dick Lebeau, while Lorenzon Ward was the only one who would take the job
-Dabo is more successful in three years than Spurrier is in 7
    -Spurrier looks "tired".
-We sold our souls for a coach we hate (Spurrier) and have nothing to show for it
-Any USC student would walk barefot to get to Clemson (Even if you attach a photo of your clemson acceptance letter)
-65-40 (i.e. a 61% win percentage is COMPLETE AND TOTAL DOMINATION!!!
    -63-17
-We will be 6-6 next year

    Did I leave anything out?

  • Yea....sure

*Coaches are RUNNING from South Carolina to get away from Spurrier, climpsun coaches are being FIRED because they don't meet yaba daba's commitment to excellence.
*The only reason we beat them is because we now schedule a "cupcake" game the week before the climpsun game. Sounds good to me....!!!
*We don't contribute to the success of the SEC and don't deserve our share of the pot.
*Their pre-season ranking of 30th by College Football News is incentive to "shock the world again." I guess giving up 70 wasn't shocking enough.
*We finished FIFTH in the SEC, although only two teams had better records and we tied Arky. I think that's tied for third.
*They think fifth in the SEC is a bad thing. LOL
... and last but not least,....
*When a recruit changes his mind and doesn't go to climpsun, he's a thug that they didn't want anyway and wouldn't really fit the program.
