Cow Turds Crying about New BCS Changes and

  • I love it. If we continue to succeed, we can make them totally irrelevant except on youtube clips from the 80's.

  • That's the price they pay for being able to rack up 8+ wins a seasons against shoddy competition.

  • What I truly enjoy reading and seeing is their undeniable misery of being in the ACC and their longing for being in the SEC. It's like holding a carrot in front of a 3 legged rabbit that's bleeding to death.

  • I love these fantasies that klimpson fans come up with to try to make themselves relevant again. Do they think they are the only school near the SEC? Fla St., Miami, UNC, NC St, Va Tech, Va, Ga Tech, W. Va, all have the same argument.

They even think that them and Fla St. are a 'package deal'.

It must suck finally reaping what you sow. They have been alienating everyone for years, and it has finally bit them in the rear.

  • Nice. I would love for them to go to the big 12 and have to play tx and okl.

  • If FSU and Clem made a move to the Big 12, I could see the SEC taking 2 of these schools to go to 16: UNC, NC State, V Tech or Maryland

IMO it would hurt them recruiting to. No games in Georgia, NC and every other year in Florida.

  • The funniest thing in there is a comment from someone affiliated with the blog saying it would have been 11-1 vote for Clemson in the SEC before expansion.

  • I think a playoff system gives Clemson a lot better chance of being in the title hunt.

  • This is my dream scenario. Highly unlikely but I can dream!

Clemson leave the ACC for the BIG 12.
Texas up and goes to the PAC 12
Oklahoma and Oklahoma state leave and go to the Big 10
The ACC picks up Vest Virginia from the big 12 and a few other big east schools.

  • I got the feeling reading this that our success at "THE UNIVERSITY OF SC" is driving them nuts but they can't bring themselves to admit it.....(I know, they never once mentioned us by name but I still get that feeling that we are ripping their hearts out)

    86cocky

  • If FSU and Clemson(Maryland possibly as well) leave for the big 12 I think the sec should offer UNC and Duke. Gives us 2 national brands, doesn't upset the power structure in football and gives us 3 of the biggest 5 basketball programs in the nation absent Kansas and UCLA. If they turn us down I'd go for NC state and VT then move Mizzou back to the west.

  • At the end of the article he reveals his true dream... join the SEC... which ain't gonna happen. They bring NOTHING to the table

    GCIT

  • Couple of things.

    - ND would never join the ACC.
-ND's TV deal with NBC isn't that great by today's standards.
-The article is right about the SEC schools also whipping them financially outside of the TV contract. Our apparel and radio contracts are 2x Clemson's.
-if the ACC starts to crumble look for us to go after a NC and VA school. Those are huge television markets.
-This is about money. While CU and FSU fit the SEC mold the water down our footprint.

I told you folks that Clemson was in danger of falling way behind us financially. It's only beginning. Think about 10 years down the road if the revenue streams continue like they are now.

  • Here's what I think is so damn funny.... climpsun fans are whining that their chance of being in the hunt for the NC is being diminished by the new four team playoff system. They somehow think that if they move to a HARDER conference, where it's HARDER to win out, with a HARDER schedule, that they will be able to win a NC.... my, my, how stupid they are. They can't even beat NCSU and GT in the same year that they are supposed to be, what they call themselves, a SuperPower.
    .
Delusional. That's what they are, just plain ole stupid. First of all, they are living in this fantasy world that "anything but a NC ring is a failure of a season." Secondly, they are pitting their hopes and dreams in the hands of a fooking cheerleader, and think he's the savior.
    .
    Delusional.

If our only loss had been to Georgia Tech we would have played LSU in Atlanta
We were number seven in the country when we went up to Raleigh. 3 Oklahoma State had already lost, and 4 Oregon and 5 Oklahoma lost that weekend as well.
So if we had beaten NC State we would have jumped up to 4 in the polls behind the trio of SEC teams. LSU’s win over Arkansas would have moved us up to 3, and I think the voters would have put a 1 loss ACC champion in the title game over a 1 loss Alabama team. The only reason that Oklahoma State didn’t get voted in is because their loss was too late. Ours was three weeks earlier, so ya we would have been in New Orleans not Miami IFour only loss had been to GT.

How so? I can't imagine why that would be true, but I'd be interested to read your thoughts on the subject.

because they only have to be top 4 instead of top 2 (11-1, acc champs). it aint happening, but i agree it gives them a better chance

    This
but I (while no longer keeping up with every article) just dont think that the recent hub-bub over a playoff and the demise of the BCS...is gonna happen. If it were REAL NEWS it would be on REAL NEWS stations and there would be a lot more BS in the media.
    Just some BS for Downtime

Let's see....WVU just flat out stomped their butts, and they talk about "what if" and playing LSU in the title game. Just imagine what LSU would have done to those boys. That game would have been over shortly after the opening kickoff.

I agree. Clemson's only hope for a MNC is to run the table or go 11-1 with their weak scedule and catch a good team napping in the title game. A playoff means they have to catch several teams napping.

The real joke here is that we're contemplating the scenario. Clemson isn't going 11-1 anytime soon.

Funny, I hope this guy isn't a grad of Clemson.....seems he forgot how to count even if they had beaten GaTech they still would have lost their ranking when the Gamecocks beat the crap out of them the last voting weekend of the season. Seems he forgot about that loss. But what does one expect from a tatter head
