Ill take my chances with a sophomore in Quarles, redshirt freshman in Dixon, Greene, Dukes and junior Surratt. And Ill take my chances that this is the first of July. NOT EVEN HALF WAY THROUGH THIS RECRUITING CYCLE, and we have Hood coming in from Prep next year. So we have five bodies, three of which I think are above average SEC players. Thats not counting any of the DEs who could grow into tackles, or OLs that may move over. We don't need a JUCO, and I think we add one more in this class at the very least. So yes, we are deep.

FYI, using Clemson as a comparison is retarded. We are much deeper than they are. The total number of players on a roster means dick, I agree. It is the quality number of players you have. Our guys are better than Clemson's.

And lastly, you act as if either one of the recruits who we thought we were going to get were locks. I though Dukes was a lock too, and he may yet be a contributor, but I dont think saying if we get hill or Griffin that either one or both will be starters from day one. Recruiting is important, and DT is NOT a priority in this class. You need four to five bodies for a season, and we already have that many TODAY for the 2013 season. So yes, your assertion is asinine, an your comparison to Clemson is about the dumbest most pointless comparison I've seen in a while.

I understand your point. Let me be clear. Its not a good thing that we havent already landed one of these two guys. However, the sky is not falling. People need to stop freaking out. We are not even half way through this recruiting cycle yet. I will say this, I think the odds are greater that we sign a contributor in this class not named Hill or Griffin, than they are that we dont sign anyone, or sign a bust. If my prediction is true, then all of this talk is for naught. Its July, not January.

I fail to see how I am freaking out. If anything I am annoyed at the ignorance of those posting in this thread essentially stating that since we didnt get on of these two, that we are going to not sign a DT or sign a bad DT class. I could not disagree more with that. This year DT is not a priority in my opinion. We already have Hood coming in, and really one more body fills the need there. I would like to have one of the two out of Hill or Griffin, and that is still very much a possibility. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but 2013 is another down year in state. 2014 is the year we really need to be focused on in state.

I fail to see how all recruits are created equally or how you got that impression from me. Simply put, one or both of Hill and Griffin could end up being busts. What then would you have to say? For me its simple, stop bitching about a non issue in July. If this were January, I could see reason for complaints. I think some of you need to take up golf. That way you can at least have some fun while looking like an idiot.

In the SEC....the differance between the haves and the have nots is mostly evident at DLine...and specificly at DT. If we want to be a yearly player within the SEC....DT recruiting is going to have to get better. We have made do ..some years but it has been a weakness of ours every year.
