DT Recruiting

No, I would suggest that claiming that MI6 was a DT is laughable.

I would love to see a play count as to what position Melvin played in his last two years. More times than not in passing situations he was at DT. I would wager that roughly 1/3 of his snaps came at DT. he is not a pure DT as I have already stated. But he is certainly a model of what Lawing can do.

I'll leave that first comment alone.

Beamer recruited Alshon, Mangus > Ace, and Lawing > Roland.

Oh yeah sure, Junior had NOTHING to do with their recruitment. Our recruiting has improved since Beamer left and Junior took over the recruiting coordinator title. And you name me all of the recruiters at the other SEC schools that are better. There is no question he is in the top half of the conference. Saying otherwise just goes to show that you have no other facts to talk about and instead are just bitching because the majority of people in this thread disagree with you.

    1) He is one of the better recruiter is the SEC, top half at least.

    2) He recruited McKinley, Alshon, Ace, and Roland.

    3) I could name everyone on the roster but you will say they all suck even though we have one of the best WR corps in the conference and country.

I don't know which statement is most amusing.

    Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty

  • Back to DT recruiting: I have been checking out alternatives, and I am of the opinion that we could do a LOT worse than Jay Woods. There is not a big difference between him and Hill/ Griffen. He is built a little like Big Byron, and looks to be a good athlete. He moves well for his size.

I would be very happy with Jay Woods, and hope we are putting the heat on someone like him. He is the type Lawing could turn into a stud.

Jay Woods would be nice. Any idea whether he's considering us?
