Dabo rant

  • According to Heath Kline on 107.5 - the question posed to Dabo was a set-up. It was actually supposed to happen on Tuesday; but the reporter verified the facts and realized that Spurrier didn't say it and wouldn't ask the question. So Dabo set it up for two reporters to ask it - just to ensure that he had the chance to rant. What a tool. I'm actually happy that Clemsux won the championship. Now they are stuck with Dabo for at least another couple of years. Or if they decide to get rid of him - who would take the job if they fire the guy that won their first championship in 20 years??? So they are stuck in mediocrity and they're not even bright enough to realize it. :-)

    They looked pretty damn average to me in Williams Brice. That is where I judge a team, not against ACC competition. How 'bout you Al? Did that win over a VT team impress you?

    That conference flat out sucks, yes I think they are mediocre at best.

    Clemson has an average football team, which defines mediocre.

    Northern Illionois and Southern Miss won their conferences too. Clemson should win 10 games every year in their conference.

    That's a fact Only one ACC team should be recruiting on their level and that is FSU. Perhaps Miami will one day get back to top notch level. Every other team should be losing to them on a yearly basis. How it's taken them 21 years to win a conference title is hard to figure out; especially while watching Md, WF, GT, BC and VT win titles.

    They are a top tier ACC team for the first time in a while, in the SEC they would be the essence of mediocrity behind: LSU, Bama, Ga, Ark, SC (Fl, Au and Tenn on most years).

    When you come to this board, we judge programs by how they stack up to the best conference in football, not one of the worst conferences in football.

    Actually, the more I think a/b it, you're right. 10-3 in that conference is not mediocre; in THAT conference, it's pretty pathetic. The taters barely held off Wake to win their division and Vandy DRUBBED Wake. And the team they played for the conference title wouldn't have finished in the top 5 of the SEC.

    my guess is you couldn't find anything to bitch about when it came to Spurrier who led us to only our second 10 win season and that must have just killed you..

    You're right; I would call 9-2 and losing by 21 to the "mediocre" program down the road for the 3rd time in a row much worse than mediocre, as is the conference they play in.
