Start Koumas then work in Beal then go from there. Just tell them to throw strikes early.

If we can pull out the first win against Arizona without our top 3 pitchers on the mound, we should be in good shape. Will Roth be ready for game 2?

Agreed assuming health and sharpness are there it is an obvious choice to me!

I think that's the plan. Start with an experienced guy. To lower nerve risk. Bring in the Fr later so he won't feel like the game is on his shoulders from the beginning. And then It's bullpen time.

It would be nice to get a couple early runs then,bring in the freshman.

I think Koumas starts and Beal comes out of the pen in long relief if needed. Webb and Price close it out. Belcher starts on Monday if Roth can't go.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubble gum.

I like Roth in the 2nd game too because it will be a high pressure situation regardless and Roth can handle it.
