i thought our pass defense was too soft in the secondary. I also thought our corners did a poor job of making a play on the ball when they had a chance. I thought we schemed fairly well with our safeties considering they are built more to stop the run.
EJ made mistakes and did not appear to be able to figure out teams like ECU and Arkansas but he is a known quantity that produced results. Ward may be that guy but if you are trying to draw a comparison there is none.

No just making the point that our pass D might have had as much to do with EJ's game plan as it did anything with Ward. The two really shouldn't be separated. We can't praise EJ and bash Ward, EJ was the guy where the buck stopped. Giving Ward the bowl game makes sense, and is in no way a sign of what SOS is going to do. Jumping off cliffs might be fun, but in this case I think a few posters are jumping too quickly, and honestly I don't see Stoops as as good a hire as EJ was. EJ is a better recruiter than Stoops and that's definitely not Stoops strength.
