Lets face it. Abo just pretty much said what everyone already knew "we didnt start out in the top 20 but ended up in the top 5. It is in the best interest of Clemson to stay in the ACC" What he didnt say but what everyone else heard was. You play in a shitty conference, and had a great record in conference which allowed you to get in the top 5. Then you played legitimate competition and got blasted by both of them. Of course you want to stay in the ACC. You can continue to go 10-2 in a shitty conferance and think your somebody. It is in there best interest to say in the ACC. The same reason Va. Tech became a football school. Because they played in the Big East and dominated them, then went to a down ACC and dominated them. I have 3-4 Va. Tech fans as family and friends. They want nothing to do with any other conference because they know the deal. If they join the SEC they will be middle to bottom 1/3 of the conference and they have no desire to do it. One said why would we want to leave being a big fish in a little pond to being the bottom 1/3 of a bigger better pond? exactly. Same with the tiggers and Abo knows it. He doesnt want to play oklahome, texas, baylor, ok. st on a yearly basis.
